Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (SM-G530H), the company’s selfie-focused smartphone surfaced earlier this month. The smartphone has not gone official yet, now Manish Khatri from Mahesh Telecom reports that the phone would be priced at Rs. 15,250 in India and would go on sale later this week. The MRP of the device would be Rs. 16,000. The main highlight of the smartphone would be the 5-megapixel front-facing camera.  It has support for 14 Indian languages and dual SIM support. Huawei has launched the MediaPad Honor T1, the company’s latest tablet in the Honor series. It was announced recently as Honor Tablet and packs a 8-inch HD IPS display with 72% screen-to-body ratio, powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) with Emotion UI 1.6 on top. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera, 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 3G support via SIM card slot and has voice calling capabilities. Huawei has launched the Honor 6, the company’s latest smartphone in the Honor series. It was announced in China back in June and has a 5-inch 1080p display, powered by a Octa-Core HiSilicon Kirin 920 SoC and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Emotion UI 2.3 on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony sensor, LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

New Moto G gets a new software update, makes Google Now Launcher default

Motorola launched the new Moto G (2nd Gen) in India earlier this month running on the latest Android 4.4.4 (KitKat). Motorola has pushed out a minor software update for the smartphone in several countries, including India. BlackBerry reports net loss of $207 million in Q2 FY15, ships 2.4 million smartphones

BlackBerry has reported their quarterly earnings report yesterday for their second quarter of fiscal 2015 that ended August 30, 2014. The company has posted a smaller loss of $207 million which amounts to about  $0.39 loss per share. It has reported $916 million revenue, which breaks down to 46% for hardware (compared to 39% last quarter), 46% for services (compared to 54% last quarter) and 8% for software.
