MIUI 13 launched in India – Check out the roll out details and the list of Xiaomi devices getting it


After the announcement of MIUI 13 in China in December, and the global launch last month, Xiaomi officially launched the MIUI 13 in an online event in India. This includes Faster storage, Faster background efficiency, Faster processing and Longer battery life, as revealed at the global launch.

Xiaomi said that it has optimized file storage and improved efficiency up to 60% in MIUI 13 with liquid storage and also improved overall smartphone efficiency.  It has also extended overall battery life by 10%. Other features include  Mind Maps in Notes, enhanced Control Centre, Game Turbo, amongst others.

It has added more live wallpapers in partnership with Beauty of Science for live wallpaper crystallization feature in select models.

There is a new sidebar that allows you to access all your favorite apps in floating windows with just a swipe—without leaving your current app. You can also customize the feature with up to 10 apps in the sidebar.

The list of devices is less for India compared to the global list, but Xiaomi has said that it will add more devices to the list in the future. We should know about the exact date of roll-out in the coming weeks.
