Xiaomi launched the Mi 10i in India back in January 2021 running MIUI 12 Global Stable on top of Android 10. The smartphone is a rebranded version of Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G which was launched in November 2020 in China. The Mi 10i also shares a lot in common with Mi 10T Lite, which made its global debut back in September 2020.
Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 8 smartphone in India running MIUI 10.3 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0 (Pie) back in 2019. Xiaomi doesn’t follow any fixed update frequency for the MIUI Global Stable ROM but on average, the Global Stable ROM is updated once a couple of months. The Redmi Note 8 has already started receiving Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 update. POCO India launched the POCO M3 smartphone back in February 2021. The handset came preloaded with Android 10 based MIUI 12. Andorid 11 update for the smartphone has been long pending. Finally, POCO has started rolling out Android 11 update for the POCO M3 in India. The update also brings MIUI 12.5 Enhanced features along with.

Xiaomi today introduced MIUI 13, the company’s next-generation UI for its smartphone at an event in China, as it had promised. This comes after the MIUI 12 that was introduced back in April last year, MIUI 12.5 that was introduced in December last year along with the Mi 11. Xiaomi has started rolling out MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Update for the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G, and Redmi 9 Prime in India. Redmi 9 Prime’s POCO counterpart POCO M2 is also receiving the same update in India. MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update also brings November 2021 Android security patch to Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G, Redmi 9 Prime, and POCO M2. MIUI 12.5 Enhanced comes with features like Focused Algorithm, Atomized Memory, Liquid Storage, Smart Balance, and also lets users Uninstall most of the system apps.

Update: Xiaomi has also confirmed that POCO F1 will not get the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update. It didn’t get the MIUI 12.5 update as well. Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO launched the POCO F1 smartphone in India back in August 2018 running MIUI 9.6 Global Stable on top of Android 8.1 (Oreo). POCO F1 currently runs Android 10 based MIUI 11, and is confirmed to get MIUI 12 in the coming months. Xiaomi doesn’t follow any fixed update frequency for the MIUI Global Stable ROM but on average, the Global Stable ROM is updated once in 20-40 days. Google, last month, officially unveiled Android 12 and started rolling out Android 12 Stable updates for eligible Pixel smartphones. Xiaomi had also announced Android 12 Public Beta for some of its flagship range devices including Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11, and Mi 11 (Mi 11X Pro in India). Now, the Chinese smartphone giant seems to be gearing up to bring Android 12 to more handsets.
