Xolo launched the X1000 earlier today. We got some hands-on time with the device. This is the third device in the Xolo range powered by an Intel processor. Xolo has launched the Xolo X1000, the company’s latest Intel Atom-powered Android Smartphone. It comes with a 4.7-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) capacitive touch screen display at 312 ppi, powered by 2 GHz Intel Atom Z2480 processor with a 400 MHz PowerVR SGX540 GPU and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It comes with a 8 MP rear camera with LED Flash, 1080p video recording and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera. It also has Full HD video playback. It doesn’t come with the Intel Atom Clover Trail+ processor as we guessed last week. This is the same processor present in the Motorola Razr i that we reviewed earlier this year. We are just minutes away from the Xolo X1000 launch in Goa, where we are live blogging the event, but looks like somebody jumped the gun and outed the X1000 in its full glory on the company’s website. It has now been revealed that the device will sport a 2 GHz Intel Medfield Z2480 system on a chip instead of the rumoured Clovertrail chip. Xolo claims this is the fastest phone, but since we have already seen phones(like the Motorola Razr i) sporting the Z2480 chip, we beg to differ.
XOLO has been teasing its upcoming Smartphone for the past few days under the Mission X tagline.The company is claiming it will launch the Fastest Smartphone ever today in Goa. The phone is expected to be based on the all new Intel Clover Trail+ platform.

Nokia Asha 310 that was announced last month is now available in India from the official Nokia Shop. It is the company’s first affordable touch screen phone with Dual SIM support and WiFi connectivity. It has a 3.0-inch (240 x 320 pixels), scratch-resistant capacitive touch screen display, 1 GHz processor and a 2 MP rear camera. It runs on S40 Asha OS with Swipe UI and comes with 40 Free EA games including Tetris, Bejeweled, Need for Speed The Run and Fifa 2012. Yes, the cat is finally out of the bag. Nokia Lumia 620, the company’s mid range Windows Phone 8 device that has been much awaited in the Indian market, has finally gone on sale in the Nokia India online shop. The currently available colours on sale are Cyan, Green, White and Magenta while the Yellow and Black variants are still shown as “Coming soon”, but we think it’s a work in progress at the site, and it might be available soon too. All the colour variations are priced at Rs. 14,999/- with delivery marked as “within 7 days” meaning it is already hitting retail anytime now.

Flipkart recently revealed the pre order price for the soon-to-be launched Nokia Lumia 620, and today, they have done it again, by announcing pre order prices of the Sony Xperia Z and Sony Xperia ZL which are slated to be announced tomorrow, at a special event. The pre order prices are listed as Rs 38,990 for the Xperia Z and Rs. 35,990 for the Xperia ZL. Flipkart also reveals that the estimated delivery would be 3rd week of March, from which we can safely assume that the retail launch will be some time around the exact time frame. The Xperia Z and the Xperia ZL were announced at the Consumer Electronics show in January and have been since much awaited in the Indian market.
It was already known just a week back that the launch is going to happen on March 14th, but Samsung has gone and just unveiled a teaser video for the Samsung Galaxy S4, undoubtedly one of the most awaited flagship devices this year. The video has “4” prominently written all over it and suggests all kinds of adjectives for the upcoming phone, in a white unpacked box. Here’s the teaser –
