Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was amongst the best selling devices launched last year in India, despite launching in 2017 it was launched with Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and was updated to Android 7.0 (Nougat) in August 2017. Redmi Note 4 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 mobile platform, the same processor that powers Mi A1 which recently received Android 9.0 (Pie) update along with Dual 4G VoLTE support. OnePlus 5 and 5T OxygenOS 9.0 Android 9.0 (Pie) update starts rolling out

OnePlus has released OxygenOS 9.0.0 Android 9.0 (Pie) stable update for its 5 and 5T smartphones, after it rolled out beta update couple of weeks back. This comes after the OnePlus 6 got the stable Android Pie-based OxygenOS 9.0 update back in September. The update brings new navigation gestures for the 5T, Google Lens integration in camera, Gaming mode 3.0 and more features.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Android 8.1 Oreo Stable update with Dual 4G VoLTE starts rolling out [Download Link]

Xiaomi India launched the Redmi 5 running MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1 Nougat back in March. Last month it was updated to MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM which was based on Android 7.1 (Nougat) only but the company started rolling out Android 8.1 (Oreo) based  MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM towards the end of last month. Xiaomi Mi A1 Android 9.0 Pie stable update starts rolling out, brings Dual 4G VoLTE, FM Radio and more [Download Link]

Update – December 25,2018: Xiaomi has started rolling out Mi A1 Android 9.0 (Pie) stable update for more users widely, including users in India. It has build number PKQ1.180917.001.V10.0.3.0.PDHMIFK, compared to v10.0.2.0 that rolled out earlier this month and is 1069.1MB in size, slightly smaller than the 1074.9MB. It brings December Android security patch. If you haven’t received the update, you can download it from here (or here) and flash it manually. If you have already reveived or flashed v10.0.2.0 update, you will receive a small update to 10.0.3.0 probably to fix bugs.

OnePlus 6T OxygenOS 9.0.10 update improves Face Unlock, Nightscape performance; First Open Beta update brings new features

OnePlus has rolled out OxygenOS 9.0.10 update for the OnePlus 6T that brings several improvements, including improvements to Wi-Fi stability, Face Unlock improvements and Improvements to Nightscape performance. It has also released the first open beta update fore the phone that brings several new features.

Nokia 8 Android 9.0 (Pie) stable update finally starts rolling out

After releasing Android 9.0 (Pie) beta update last week for the Nokia 8 smartphone, HMD Global has finally started rolling out stable update for the phone. The company initially promised to roll out the update for the phone in November, but it got delayed.

Xiaomi disables downgrading from Pie to Oreo on Android One devices, Here’s why

Xiaomi rolled out Android Pie update to Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite users last month and earlier this month company started rolling out Android Pie update to Mi A1 closed beta testers. Xiaomi Redmi 6A back to original price in India, starts at Rs. 5999

Xiaomi launched the Redmi 6A, successor of last year’s Redmi 5A in India back in September starting at Rs. 5999. However, at the launch the company said that the pricing is complimentary and it will increase in a couple of months. It also increased the price of 16GB version by Rs. 600 and Rs. 500 for the 32GB version last month. Now the company has cut the price of the phone back at launch prices of Rs. 5999 and Rs. 6999.  You can get the phone on Amazon.in, Mi.com and offline stores.

ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Zenfone 5Z Android 9.0 (Pie) update in January, Max Pro M1 update in February 2019

ASUS launched launched the  Zenfone Max Pro M1 in April and its flagship Zenfone 5Z (ZS620KL) smartphone back in July in India running Android Oreo with ZenUI 5.0. Last month already confirmed that the 5Z will get the update by the end of January 2019. Today at the Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Max M2 launch event, the company confirmed that the Max Pro M2 will get the Pie update in January, and the Max Pro M1 will get the update in February. Yandex.Phone with 5.65-inch FHD+ display, dual rear cameras, water-resistant body announced

Yandex, the leading Internet company in Russia has introduced Yandex.Phone, the company’s latest Android smartphone. It has a 5.65-inch FHD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, is powered by Snapragon 630 with 4GB of RAM, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with Yandex Launcher, has a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5-megapixel secondary camera for portait shots, and a 5-megapixel camera on the front that also has an LED flash.

Xiaomi Mi A1 Android 9.0 Pie beta testing begins [Update: Download Link]

Update: We have managed to get the download link for the Mi A1 Android Pie beta update which is about 1.3GB in size. Since this is still in beta stage, there might be bugs. It is recommended to backup before updating. We have flashed it successfully with TWRP Recovery.
