Epic Games released the Fortnite beta for Android exclusively on Samsung devices first, back in August. Later it was available through invite for select users of other smartphones. Now the game is available for all the compatible smartphones without an invite. It already said that the devices should run Android 8.0 or higher, should pack 3GB RAM or higher and require compatible GPU – Adreno 530 or higher, Mali-G71 MP20, Mali-G72 MP12 or higher.
Huawei introduced EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9.0 (Pie) at the IFA 2018 last month. After Nokia 7 Plus Stable Pie update, HMD Global is now letting Nokia 6.1 Plus users test the Android 9.0 Pie beta before stable roll out. The company already announced that Android Pie update coming to Nokia 6.1 and 6.1 Plus in October, Nokia 8 and Nokia 8 Sirocco in November. HMD Global rolled out Android 9.0 (Pie) update for the Nokia 7 Plus last week. Today the company at its Nokia 7.1 launch event in London announced when the Pie update will arrive for its older phones.
Google today announced that it is rolling out new features on Google Maps to help you take control of your daily commute. The new commute tab feature one-tap access to live traffic and transit information tailored to your commute. It will let you know if your commute is going to be a normal one or if you’ll need extra time.
Xiaomi launched the Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 smartphones in India earlier this month running MIUI 9.5 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo) update. After the Redmi Y2, Redmi Note 5 Pro, Mi 5 and Redmi Note 5, the Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 users have received the stable MIUI 10 OTA update today. The 2018 iPhone is here and we got our hands on the bigger beast the iPhone Xs Max for an unboxing. Apple has managed to cram in much more into a device which has the same footprint of last years’s iPhone 8 Plus. Off lately Google has been adding a dark mode to its native apps including Android Messages, YouTube. Now the company might soon bring the dark mode to Google Phone app as well as it teased in the PlayStore change log a while ago. While the latest update doesn’t bring the change, it sure hints at it. Google introduced Android Pie Beta program for a range of smartphones including the Nokia 7 Plus back in May. It released Android P Developer Preview 5 (Beta 4) for the smartphone last week. At the Nokia 6.1 Plus launch last month the company said that the Nokia 7 Plus will get the stable Android Pie update in September, but we are nearing the end of the month.

Earlier this month Motorola officially announced that it is rolling out Oreo update for the Moto G5 Plus users in India and Brazil and for the Moto G5 users in Mexico. Now the company has started rolling out the update for G5 and G5S Plus smartphones in India.

OnePlus has started rolling out OxygenOS 9.0 update based on Android 9.0 (Pie) for its flagship OnePlus 6 smartphone, in about four months after it released the Android P beta as one of the first manufacturers, and releasing three open beta updates this month. The company said that starting with the Android Pie, OxygenOS version number will correspond with the Android version number. Nokia 7 Plus is one of the first set of devices to get Android 9.0 Pie beta when it is announced by the Google at I/O 2018. At the same event, Google announced the Digital Wellbeing feature which was made available in beta back in August. It was available only to Pixel smartphones running Android Pie. However, Google seems to be expanding the feature to other devices as it pushed an update to Digital Wellbeing feature via Play Store to the Nokia 7 Plus.
