Razer has announced that it will roll out Android Pie update to the Razer Phone 2 starting from next week. Since Razer keeps its UI close to stock, the Pie software too is pretty close what you’d find on Pixel phones. It brings gestures and they are enabled by default. However, Razer’s launcher doesn’t support the suggested apps or a long-swipe to get to the app drawer. Razer just announced the Razer Phone 2, successor of last year’s Razer Phone, as it had promised. The phone packs a 5.72-inch Quad HD 120 Hz UltraMotion display delivering fastest refresh rates and smooth graphics suitable for gaming, same as the predecessor, but this has 645 nits, making it brighter than the predecessor. This is powered by the latest Snapdragon 845 with Vapor Chamber Cooling that allows heat to spread throughout the phone via a custom vapor chamber which vastly increases the surface area for heat to dissipate, resulting in fewer hot spots and up to 8GB of RAM.
Razer announced the Razer Phone back in November last year. After the confirmation of the Razer Phone 2 by the company in the earning call recently, it has surfaced in AnTuTu Benchmark confirming some of the specifications, including whopping 512GB of storage, up from 64GB storage on the first-generation gaming smartphone.
