Get Android 9.0 Pie on Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro with Pixel Experience Extended ROM

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is amongst best-selling devices launched this year, Xiaomi launched it running on Android Nougat despite launching in February and later in June rolled out Android Oreo update. If we go by the Android update history of Redmi devices then it won’t be wrong to assume that device will not get any Android update as last year’s bestseller Redmi Note 4 is still on Android Nougat 7.0 but users can still enjoy the latest Android on their Redmi Note 5 Pro, thanks to the awesome custom ROM developers community. Earlier, we tried Android Pie based Pixel Experience ROM on Redmi Note 5 Pro, it was stable for day to day usage but it lacks customization and MIUI like navigation gestures. Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Android 9.0 Pie stable update starts rolling out

Xiaomi launched the second-generation Android One devices – Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite back in July at an event in Spain. At the event, Xiaomi and Google promised Android version updates along with monthly security patch updates as the device was launched under the Android One program. Xiaomi started rolling out Android 9.0 (Pie) to Mi A2 last week in India and now it has started rolling out Android 9.0 to Mi A2 Lite in some regions after announcing Android Pie Beta testers recruitment couple of weeks ago. Nokia 7.1 Android 9.0 Pie update starts rolling out

After rolling out Android Pie update for the Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus smartphone last month, HMD Global today started rolling out stable Android 9.0 (Pie) update for the Nokia 7.1 smartphone as it had promised at the launch last month. Since the update has started rolling out, it might take sometime to reach everyone.

Get Android 9.0 Pie on Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 with Arrow OS

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was amongst the best selling devices launched last year in India, despite launching in 2017 it was launched with Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and was updated to Android 7.0 (Nougat) in August 2017. Redmi Note 4 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 mobile platform, the same processor which powers Redmi Note 5, Redmi Y2 and Redmi 6 Pro that run on Andriod 8.1 (Oreo). Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro and Redmi 5 MIUI 10 Stable OTA update starts rolling out [Download link]

Xiaomi launched the Redmi 6 Pro in India back in September running MIUI 9, now it has started receving MIUI 10 Stable update. The update is also available for the Redmi 5 smartphone that was launched earlier this year running MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1.2 (Nougat). ASUS Zenfone 5Z Android 9.0 (Pie) update will roll out in January 2019

ASUS launched its flagship Zenfone 5Z (ZS620KL) smartphone in India back in July running Android Oreo with ZenUI 5.0. Today the company has confirmed that it will roll out the Android 9.0 (Pie) update for the smartphone by the end of January 2019. It also said that the update will be rolled out in a phased manner to avoid update server congestion.

OnePlus 6 OxygenOS Beta update brings OnePlus Roaming, Video Enhancer and more

OnePlus has rolled out new Open Beta 7 for the OnePlus 6 the brings several new features including new OnePlus Roaming feature that allows users to use internet without a SIM card, somewhat like virual SIM. However, this doesn’t work for calls. OnePlus says that this will work globally in most of the countries/regions, and it will list out the plans available for the country/regions you are in so that you can purchase a suitable plan and access the Internet without a SIM. This is similar to Mi Roaming feature that was introduced by Xiaomi few years back.

Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Android Pie Beta testing to start soon as the company opens registrations

Xiaomi launched the second-generation Android One devices – Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite back in July at an event in Spain. At the event, Xiaomi and Google promised Android version updates along with monthly security patch updates as the device was launched under the Android One program. Going by the history of first gen of Android One device Mi A1, Xiaomi has managed to provide monthly security patch updates, but it has struggled to deliver on the promise of keeping the Android version up to date as Android Oreo 8.1 update for Mi A1 was delayed and was released in June 2018. Samsung One UI coming to Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note8

Samsung introduced the One UI last week along with Infinity Flex for foldable smartphones. The new skin is aimed at making the navigation much easier and designed around how we use our phones in the day-to-day. Samsung at its annual Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) in San Francisco confirmed that its flagship Galaxy Note9, Galaxy S9 and S9+ smartphones will get Android 9.0 (Pie) update in January 2019. Blizzard Entertainment has announced Diablo Immortal, a mobile massively multiplayer online action–role-playing game in the Diablo franchise for Android and iOS devices that has been co-developed by Blizzard Entertainment and NetEaseIt. It brings Six iconic and highly customizable Diablo character classes —Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, and Wizard—each with new powers and abilities, with more playable classes planned for future updates.

OnePlus 6 OxygenOS 9.0.2 update brings 6T features including Nightscape, Studio Lighting and new navigation gestures

After OnePlus 6 got open beta 6 update earlier this week that brought several features that OnePlus introduced on the OnePlus 6T including new navigation gestures, Nightscape, Studio Lighting and more, the company has rolled out stable OxygenOS 9.0.2 update that with the features. It also adds support to launch Google Assistant or other third party assistant app by holding the power button for 0.5 seconds.
