AT&T Unveils The Samsung Galaxy Note LTE

AT&T officially announced the much-awaited Samsung Galaxy Note at the CES 2012 in Las Vegas. AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note will be available in 2 colors – carbon blue and ceramic white.

Last year, Samsung announced the company’s first phone/tablet hybrid device, the Samsung Galaxy Note. Samsung also announced that the global sales of Galaxy Note has finally crossed the 1 million mark within 2 months of its official launch. This was definitely a great news, since the device was not yet available in the US. We have already seen the leaked pics of the AT&T Galaxy Note couple of times. Now, AT&T officially announced the much-awaited Samsung Galaxy Note at the CES 2012 in Las Vegas. This device will be exclusively available for the AT&T customers in the US. Motorola RAZR software update brings improved camera auto-focus performance

Motorola RAZR is now receiving a OTA software update v65.1.21.en.03 (Asia Retail) while all are waiting for the ICS update. This update includes software enhancement to improved auto-focus performance for the camera and a bonus EA game “Bejeweled 2” (not available for Hong Kong and Taiwan) according to the official change log. Lenovo S2 Android smartphone with 1.4GHz dual-core Snapdragon CPU announced

Lenovo has announced the S2 Android smartphone at CES 2012. It is powered by 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 dual-core processor and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Lenovo Magic 3.0 UI. It has 3.8-inch (800 x 480 pixels ) TFT display, 8MP Camera that can capture panoramic photos and with secondary VGA video calling camera. Lenovo has announced IdeaTab S2 10, their first tablet that runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has 10-inch (1,280 x 800 pixels) LED-backlit , Lenovo Mondrian UI and is powered by 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 8960 dual core CPU. It is just 8.69mm thick and weighs 580 grams. Samsung Galaxy Tab 620 (Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus) now available in India for Rs. 26499

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 620 (GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus) is now available in India from online retailer Flipkart and from retail stores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 620 has 7-inch WSVGA(1024X600) PLS LCD display. It is powered by 1.2 GHz Dual Core Processor and runs on Android 3.2 (Honeycomb). It is 9.96mm thin and weighs 345g. Motorola DEFY MINI rugged Android phone announced

Motorola has announced Motorola DEFY MINI dustproof and water-resistant phone powered by Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It has 3.2-inch touchscreen Corning GorillaGlass display, 600MHz processor, 3MP rear-facing camera with flash, VGA front-facing camera for video chat. It also comes with Motorola’s MotoSwitch user interface that learns who you talk to and which apps you use and keeps all of that information. White Samsung Galaxy Nexus coming to UK in February

 

A couple of UK retailers just informed us that the white version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus which is currently the world’s only phone to run on Android Ice Cream Sandwich will be available next month in the UK. MobileFun is hinting at a release date of February 2nd and will sell the white device for 519 GBP including VAT.Clove is indicating a release date of 6th February and will sell the device for 498 GBP including VAT.We really like the black version of the device and the white looks equally attractive. Anyone interested in the white version of the Galaxy Nexus ? Specs wise , it should be identical to the black version.

Sony Ericsson launches barometric sensor app for Xperia active

Sony Ericsson has launched a barometric sensor app for the Xperia active and also a new code example so that developers can access this sensor in apps by accessing it through the Android sensor API. This app would let the Xperia Active users measure altitude differences and vertical speed. They already provided instructions and codes on how to create a simple app that could read data from the pressure sensor. 0.6% of all Android devices are on Ice Cream Sandwich

Android 4.0 was launched and announced in October and the first device to feature it was Google’s own Galaxy Nexus, and in December Nexus S got an upgrade to Android 4.0. Besides these two devices there are some other devices from other manufacturers running Ice Cream Sandwich unofficially through custom ROMs, through Google’s monthly report we have come to know that 0.6% of all the devices are running Android 4.0 which actually means that around 13 million to 15 million devices are running Andriod 4.0.

Now face unlock with Android 4.0 in your Nexus S

Nexus S received the Android 4.0 update a few weeks back though not all the features of ICS were available in the Nexus S update and one of the feature was Face unlock and the the main reason behind that was the VGA front camera. Many of the Nexus S users were really upset about the decision taken by Google, but the developer community is always there to look out for all the consumers and now this time they have taken the official update and have embedded face unlock into it.

Aakash Tablet – Ubislate 7 Unboxing

We take a look at the WiFi version of the Aakash tablet also known as the UbiSlate 7. It was available for pre-order for Rs.2499 and those who had placed the order are finally receiving the device.The device is powered by a Arm11 – 366Mhz CPU and is not the fastest tablet out there but the price tag is pretty impressive. If you covert the pricing to USD it costs around 47 USD approximately which makes it one of the cheapest tablets in the world and carries the Made in India tag !
