Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8 inch and Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 inch tablets announced

Samsung today introduced two new models as part of its Galaxy Tab range of tablets. The tablets that will be retail in 8 inch and 10 inch sizes will be available starting June. The 8 inch tablet has a 1.5Ghz dual core processor  of an unknown variety. The screen has a resolution of 1280×800. Internally you’ll also find 1.5GB of RAM and 16/32GB of storage. A rear facing 5MP camera is available while a 1.3MP unit performs front facing duties. The battery unit on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8inch is rated at 4,450 mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Photos NEW Design !

Samsung has managed to change the design of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 after MWC. Looks like the company was not happy to release a tablet thicker than the Apple iPad 2 to the market. So what did they do ? They felt that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 was inadequate to take on the iPad 2 and they did not stop there. They went and redesigned the whole thing so that it is only 8.6 mm thick and weighs 595g. The earlier model was 10.9mm thick and weighed 599 g. Did Samsung just surprise Apple  ?
