Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy Ace 3, the company’s latest Android smartphone in the Galaxy series. It is the successor of the Galaxy Ace 2 that was unveiled last year.  It has a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The device would also come with LTE support in select markets that would have a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 8GB of internal memory and 1800 mAh battery. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 prototype allegedly surfaces

Alleged photos of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 prototype has surfaced online. Sammobile and Techtastic says that this might not be the final design of the device that is expected to be unveiled at the IFA 2013 in September. Very low quantities for R&D purposes, says Techtastic. It also adds that this phone would have a model number SM-N900, losing it’ last zero unlike the other Galaxy devices. The device was rumored to come with an unbreakable AMOLED display, but these websites doesn’t confirm any such thing. Sasmung launched Galaxy S4 in India at the end of April. It released accessories for the device including the Flip Case and the Side View Cover last month. Now the Wireless Charging Cover and Wireless Charging Pad have been priced on the official Samsung eStore.These accessories have also been unveiled yesterday in the U.S. If you already have a Wireless Charging pad, you can get the Charging Cover separately and replace it with the original back cover. It charges wirelessly via electromagnetic field that follow the Qi standard, the global standard for wireless power. The Wireless Charging Kit (Pad + Cover) also comes as a bundle. Samsung has started rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy S4 starting from Germany that brings lots of new features such as option to move apps to the SD card, HDR video recording, Semi-transparent status bar, new Smart Pause toggle in the notification, New camera firmware and lots more. Samsung released the first update for the Exynos version of the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500) last month that brought stability improvements. The new update is rolling out for the Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) in Germany, but Sammobile says the update would also be available for the Exynos-powered Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500). Samsung beats Apple’s US Smartphone marketshare says Canaccord Genuity

Investment research firm, Canaccord Genuity, has surveyed retail stores of all the four major US carriers and has come to the conclusion that Samsung’s trio of Galaxy S3, S4 and the Note II outsold Apple’s handset in May.

Samsung Galaxy Note price drops to Rs. 21500


Samsung has cut the price of the Galaxy Note, that is now available for Rs. 21,500 in India. The Galaxy Note was launched in India at Rs. 34,990 (MRP) in November 2011. It got the first price cut to Rs. 29,990 back in September last year and received another price cut in December to Rs. 27,500. Samsung offered 15% cash back for the Galaxy Note 2 last month through credit and debit cards and the Samsung OWN NOW Zero % interest offer on credit cards is also applicable for Note. It has IP67 rating for Dust and Water Resistance with fully sealed design keeps dust particles out and protects against water damage for up to 30 minutes of submergence. The Glove Touch lets you access the screen even with gloves and the phone comes with hardware buttons for menu, home and back similar to the Samsung Galaxy XCover phones. Intel boasts its first LTE solution in the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 inch

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 inch was just announced yesterday along with the Galaxy Tab 3 8 inch version. One of the main takeaways from the announcement is the presence of an Intel chip inside the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 inch version. Intel was particularly proud of the fact and boasted about its first low power LTE implementation for the same, in its blog. Sporting a Intel Z2560 “CloverTrail+” chip, the device has connectivity powered by the Intel XMM7160 multi mode LTE modem in some markets.

Halo – Spartan Assault announced for Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8

Halo, the multi billion dollar game franchise that rapidly achieved cult status along with the launch of the Original Xbox, is finally coming to other Microsoft platforms including Windows 8 as a metro style app and Windows Phone 8. The game, called “Spartan Assault” is a fill-in story set in the years between Halo 3 and Halo 4. The top down single player resembles games like GunBros for example, with controls on the screen in the case of a touchscreen. The story revolves around the history of human-covenant conflict, the rise of commander Sarah Palmer, who is a part of the Spartan special ops program and more.

Samsung today introduced two new models as part of its Galaxy Tab range of tablets. The tablets that will be retail in 8 inch and 10 inch sizes will be available starting June. The 8 inch tablet has a 1.5Ghz dual core processor  of an unknown variety. The screen has a resolution of 1280×800. Internally you’ll also find 1.5GB of RAM and 16/32GB of storage. A rear facing 5MP camera is available while a 1.3MP unit performs front facing duties. The battery unit on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8inch is rated at 4,450 mAh battery.

Samsung announced the Galaxy S4 mini earlier this week globally. We had already seen the Galaxy S4 Active in photos and video. Now we have the press image of the rugged device for AT&T, thanks to Unlockr / @evleaks. The device is codename: J Active and it would be sold under model number SGH-I537. The phone would come with a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) full HD Super AMOLED display, powered by a 1.9GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor with Adreno 320 GPU run on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) with Touchwiz Nature UX on top. Samsung has carved out a huge market for its Galaxy range of Android phones. One of the most popular phones in the series was the Galaxy S3, clocking over 40 million units in sales as of January this year.
