It has a 5-inch (800 x 480 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It also comes with dual SIM support and has software features such as Multi Window and Pop up Play. Apple and Samsung reportedly fail to reach an agreement in mediation talks

In unsurprising news of this week, a lot of Korean websites and news papers are reporting that top level executives from Samsung and Apple have failed to reach an agreement in their mediation talks. Apple and Samsung have been battling it out in the courts for a long while now, and that’s not a secret. Apple had accused Samsung of various IP infringements including the hotly debated “Trade Dress”, but the Judge had decided to give both the companies the option to resolve their tussle through mediation talks. If the reports are true, those talks just failed and both the companies with be back to the courts, with Samsung defending Apple’s claims again.

Now the Black Galaxy Grand 2 is available in India from the official Samsung India eStore. It has a leather-like back cover similar to the white version. Other specifications are exactly similar to the White one, including a 5.25-inch (1280 x 720 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) OS. Samsung launched the Galaxy Mega 5.8 in India last year. The Samsung Galaxy Mega Plus (GT-I9152P) has appeared on the official Samsung China website. It has a 5.8-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, similar to the Mega 5.8, but this one is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor instead of a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor. It runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), has a 8MP auto-focus rear camera with LED Flash and a 1.9 MP front-facing camera and packs a 2600 mAh battery. LG unveiled Optimus L1 II Tri (E475) with triple SIM support last week. Now the Samsung Galaxy Trios has been spotted on the official Samsung Brazil website. It has a 3.14-inch (320 x 240 pixels) TFT screen, powered by a 1 GHz single-core Qualcommm Snapdragon MSM7225A processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Samsung’s own Touchwiz UI on top. It has a 2-megapixel rear camera without flash. Most of the specifications are similar to the Galaxy Star, but this has 3G connectivity and also has Samsung’s Always ON triple SIM support. Samsung launched their first smart watch – Samsung Galaxy Gear back in IFA 2013 alongside their current flagship – Galaxy Note 3. A couple of weeks remain for MWC 2014 and there are clear indications that Samsung will unveil their next generation Galaxy S series flagship – Galaxy S5 at MWC 2014. Samsung partners with Tata Motors to bring Drive Link infotainment system to cars

At the ongoing Auto Expo, Samsung and Tata Motors have announced a tie up to bring closer integration between smartphones and automobiles. The collaboration revolves around bringing Samsung’s Drive Link application to Tata’s fleet of vehicles. A derivative of MirrorLink technology, it will let users duplicate their smartphone interface on an in car display and use it for navigation, media access as well as to answer calls. Samsung has partnered with Swarovski, popular for its crystal and fashion jewelry to launch a limited-edition cover encrusted with Swarovski crystals for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Samsung introduced the Galaxy S4 Crystal edition few months back, but they have planned to sell a crystal cover for the Note 3 separately. Recently Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 3 in Rose Gold White, Rose Gold Black and Merlot Red colors, in addition to Jet Black, Classic White and Blush Pink colors. Samsung Huron Windows Phone 8.1 specifications leaked?

samsung-windows-phone-8-1-huronSamsung will still be making Windows Phones, if the previously leaked press image of its first Windows Phone 8.1 device is to be believed. Codenamed “Huron”, the Samsung made Windows Phone will be a sequel to the ATIV S that coincided with the launch of WP8, the big reboot to Microsoft’s fast growing platform. But Samsung hasn’t announced any device since, so at this moment, this leak comes more as a surprise than the usual expected ones. Curiously though, the render, leaked by evleaks, shows off a device that looks exactly like the ATIV or a Galaxy, but misses the camera button on the side, which used to be mandatory for Windows Phone. And of course, the screen is “off” so we are not able to get a glimpse of Windows Phone 8.1 either, which evleaks claims the phone is running on. But there are more details.

Samsung introduced the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2, TabPRO 12.2, TabPRO 10.1 and TabPRO 8.4 tablets with  WQXGA (2560 x 1600) displays and Android 4.4 (Kitkat) at the CES 2014  last month. These tablets are available for pre-order from Office Depot, Walmart, Best Buy, Amazon and more retailers in the US and would go on sale on February 13th, just in time for the Valentine’s day. Samsung SM-W750V “Huron” images leaked, could be Samsung’s first WP 8.1 device

Samsung Ativ S was Samsung’s first Windows Phone 8 device and it barely saw the launch because of various problems. Many thought Samsung was out of the Windows Phone business as there were no devices, but things are about to change. Samsung is preparing a Full HD high end smartphone running on Windows Phone 8.1 for Verizon.

Samsung schedules Unpacked event for Feb 24th to unveil Samsung Galaxy S5

Samsung is expected to announce the next iteration of Galaxy S series sometime soon and there were early rumors that Samsung will be holding an event on Feb 23rd, but it turns out that they are holding the unpacked event on Feb 24th, just on the starting day of MWC 2014. The event invite tells us that this is Samsung’s Unpacked event 5 and it also mentions it as episode 1. The event will take place in Barcelona.
