iQOO has started teasing the design of the iQOO 15 smartphone with a large camera deco, which is said to be present in the upper left corner. The phone is stronger, more restrained, and therefore more elegant! The camera deco is like a spaceship floating on the glass back cover, and it is the coolest Deco design at the moment, says the iQOO product manager.
Camera
According to leaker Digital Chat Station, the phone is said to feature a right-angle metal middle frame, RGB light strip is hidden, and the lens Deco is a bit thick, mainly because this generation has upgraded periscope telephoto camera. Based on earlier rumours, the phone is said to get a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera.
Display
According to iQOO product manager Ge Lan V, its 2K screen far exceeds the 1.5K and retina standards of Apple Pro Max in terms of static and dynamic picture details, and the most powerful light-emitting device it is equipped with makes the first frame brightness account for as high as 98.1%, ranking first in the industry, far exceeding the Android average of 80% and Apple Pro Max’s 96.69%, effectively solving the problems of font and screen ghosting in dynamic pictures.
Earlier reports revealed that the phone will get a 6.85-inch 2K custom Samsung LTPO screen with ultra-narrow bezels on all the four sides. It is said to support Pol-less depolarization technology for reduced power consumption, increased brightness, and simplified manufacturing processes.
The company is also expected to use AR anti-glare film for the screen. It is said to be the screen with the highest BOM cost among the upcoming flagships.
The phone will run Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box in China, confirmed the company.
Launch date?
iQOO has already started pre-reservation for the phone in China across all the channels. We should know more details about the iQOO 15 after the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 gets introduced next week, Snapdragon Summit 2025.
However, the tentative launch date is said to be October 20th, weeks after the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 launch. India launch is also expected later this year.
