HTC A11 could be a mid range device with 64 bit processor

It looks like HTC is preparing a mid range smartphone as per series of tweets from popular leakster @upleaks.  Dubbed as A11, for now the device will be from HTC’s Desire line and is running on a Snapdragon 410 processor. This is the first ever 64-bit SoC from Qualcomm that was unveiled in December of last year. It has a 1.4 GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU, and an Adreno 306 GPU.

It has a 5-inch qHD (960 × 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.4 GHz octa-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with dual SIM support with dual standby and has 3G connectivity. Nokia 130 and 130 Dual SIM affordable phones with video player announced for 19 Euros

Microsoft just announced the Nokia 130 and 130 Dual SIM, most affordable Nokia phones with built-in video and music player. These have 1.8″ (160 x 128 pixels) TFT displays, run on Series 30+ OS and features FM Radio, similar to the Nokia 108 Dual SIM that was launched back in October in India. These have Bluetooth 3.0 with SLAM that enables multimedia content sharing between phones equipped with Bluetooth, but lacks a rear camera. These are ‎13.9mm thick and weighs just 68 grams. In the wake of privacy concerns, Xiaomi makes cloud messaging optional

Xiaomi managed to get some bad press of late, when a report from Taiwan claimed that the Chinese maker was gathering sensitive user data through its phones. The report said that Xiaomi Redmi Note was found to be sending information to Chinese servers without any such requests from the user.

The Project Shield was Nvidia’s first portable gaming project, which turned out to be really interesting in terms of idea and concept, never took off as the company had imagined. The GPU manufacturer is back with a sequel, but with a different approach this time. The Shield 2, or rather, the Nvidia Shield Tablet, is the company’s latest unbundled approach to portable gaming. Acknowledging the reality of limited controller support in Android games and the need to cater to a wider audience, the company has gone for a powerful tablet + gamepad combo. The gamepad ships separately, but even standalone, the tablet is plenty powerful and can interface with your current controller setup if needed. Touting a 192 core desktop class Kepler GPU inside, the Shield tablet surely has the potential to change mobile gaming, but before we find out if that’s true, here’s an unboxing of the retail package, with a quick rundown of the hardware and the software –

Motorola to be sales arm of Lenovo to improve global sales: Report

Lenovo bought Motorola from Google for $2.91 billion earlier this year. Motorola will help Lenovo to expand its sales in the global market by becoming its sales arm, when the two companies are merged officially, according to a report from DigiTimes. Motorola shipped 6.5 million smartphones globally in the first quarter of 2014 and it became the fourth largest smartphone vendor in India in the second quarter of 2014 replacing Nokia. LG L60 with 4.3-inch display, 1.3 GHz dual-core processor and Android 4.4 goes official

LG L60, the company’s latest smartphone in the LG Series III Lineup has been listed on its official website in Russia, where it’s called L60 X145. It has a 4.3-inch WVGA screen, runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat), has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera, similar to the LG L65 Dual that went on sale in Russia back in April. But this is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor, comes with 512MB RAM and packs a 1,540 mAh battery.

Samsung is expected to announce the rumored Gear Solo at the IFA 2014 on September 3rd, along with the Galaxy Note 4, according to Korean publication Yonhap News. The official invite for the IFA 2014 from Samsung did not hint anything else other than the Note 4, but the company released all its Gear watches along with the Galaxy S5 at the MWC 2014 earlier this year, so we can expect anything.
