Samsung may have surpassed the sales of the Apple and Nokia smartphones in the second quarter of 2011 reports Bloomberg. Samsung is estimated to have sold between 18 million and 21 million smartphones globally in the April-June quarter, while Nokia sold 16.7 million and Apple sold 20.3 million iPhones. Samsung launching Galaxy 3D later this year?
Earlier this year, Samsung announced their new flagship device which is known as the Samsung Galaxy S II and they are selling it very well. Galaxy S II is considered as one of the best Android smartphones available in the market at the moment. Well, now it looks like Samsung is working on a new Galaxy device as our friends over at Sammy Hub spotted on Korean website ETNews that Samsung is working on a device which will feature a 3D display and would be known as Galaxy 3D. It’s just a rumor so just take it with a grain of salt but you can put a little trust on it because recently companies like HTC and LG introduced phones with 3D display, so if Samsung is also working on one then there is no surprise. Samsung Galaxy S II was officially announced back in February and they launched it as their flagship device and trust me, Galaxy S II is really an amazing and considered as one of the best Android devices available in the market at the moment. Well, it’s available in countries like UK and India too, but what’s shocking is that it’s still not officially launched in US market which is considered as one of the largest mobile phone markets. Samsung Galaxy R hitting UK by the end of July
We recently told you that Samsung is launching little brother of Samsung Galaxy S2 which is known as the Samsung Galaxy Z and it’s a cheap alternative of Samsung’s flagship device. It was only introduced in Sweden first but now it looks like Samsung is planning to launch it in UK too as CNET is reporting that Samsung will launch it as Samsung Galaxy R and it will hit UK by the end of July, and I am sure this is good news for all people who loves SGS2 but it’s too expensive for them. At the moment, we don’t know which carrier or retailer is launching it and for how much? But I am sure the carriers and retailers who are interested in this device will be announcing it soon. Galaxy Q With 5.3″ Display Coming At IFA ?
If a report published in Yahoo Korea is to be believed , Samsung Mobiles might be working on a breakthrough cross-over device. The rumored Galaxy Q is said to come with a 5.3″ Super AMOLED display. Internal specs are yet unknown but we’d expect Samsung’s powerful Exynos chip to run the show here.

Samsung upcoming WP7 Mango device revealed by Microsoft
A few days ago, we reported that Samsung will be launching the WP7 version of Galaxy S II and it will be Samsung’s first ever Mango device and guess what? Microsoft officially unveiled the Samsung upcoming device during the Microsoft Worldwide Partner conference this Tuesday and the device looks a lot like the SGS2. As you can in the image above, it features three traditional WP7 buttons (Home, Back, Search) and you can see it’s running on WP7. Android 2.3.4 leaked for Samsung galaxy S2
It looks like Samsung is on a roll and giving out updates for their devices on a really fast pace. This time it’s an update for the popular Samsung Galaxy S 2 which has been selling like hot cakes, even though it has not been released in the U.S yet. Good news for the SGS2 users, Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) was leaked for their device bringing the latest gtalk with video calling. Apart from the latest gTalk, the new update will also include better power management which is said to decrease the battery consumption.
