India wearables market records 144.3% YoY growth in 2020: IDC

According to the IDC report, the Indian wearables market posted a 144.3% year-over-year (YoY) growth in 2020 with shipments of 36.4 million units. IDC reports record 46.6 million India smartphone shipments in Q3 2019, 9.3% YoY growth

IDC India has reported a record 46.6 million units for smartphone shipments in Q3 2019, which calculates to a 9.3% YoY growth and a 26.5% growth compared to the Q2 this year. This record was largely due to the multiple online sales festivals, new smartphone launches and price corrections on many important models.

IDC predicts a declining trend for PC shipments

With the shipments of smartphones and tablets increasing, the PC industry is facing the heat of this shift. IDC, the company that predicts trends and reports them has reported the decline of PC sales in 2013. According to IDC, this is the most severe contraction in the PC market ever and they predict that it will continue. PC shipments were expected to decline by 10.1% but they declined by around 9.8%.

IDC: Samsung, Apple top Smartphone vendors in Q3 2012, Nokia not in top 5


Samsung and Apple are the leading Smartphone vendors based on shipments, once again in the Q3 2012, according to a report by Research Firm IDC (International Data Corporation). Nokia loses its place in the top 5 list, while RIM enters the top 5 spot by replacing Nokia’s 3rd spot. The worldwide smartphone market saw 45.3% year-over-year growth in Q3 2012 with 179.7 million unit shipments, compared to 123.7 million units in Q3 2011. Mobile phone market grew 1% year over year in Q2 2012 with worldwide shipments of 406.0 million units compared to 401.8 million units in Q2 2011. IDC: Mobile Phone Market Q4 2011 – Nokia, Samsung and Apple top mobile phone vendors by shipments


Nokia, Samsung and Apple are the leading Mobile vendors by shipments in Q4 2011 and for the whole 2011, according to a report by Research Firm IDC (International Data Corporation). The worldwide mobile phone market grew 6.1% year over year in the Q4 2011 with shipments of 427.4 million which is 6.1% more compared to 402.8 million units in the Q4 2010. IDC : Mobile Market in Western Europe Q2 2011 – Samsung, Apple, HTC top Smartphone vendors by shipments


According to recent report by research firm IDC (International Data Corporation), the Smartphone sales in Western Europe is more than the feature phone sales in Q2 2011. The feature phone shipments were down at 29% to 20.4 million units in 2Q11, while smartphone shipments increased 48% to 21.8 million units compared to Q2 2010. IDC : Mobile Phone Market Q2 2011 – Nokia, Samsung, LG top mobile phone vendors by shipments


According to report by Research Firm IDC (International Data Corporation) the Worldwide mobile phone market grew 11.3% year over year in the 2nd quarter of 2011 (2Q11) with the worldwide shipment of 328.4 million units.
