Review : Samsung Galaxy S2 Performance and Benchmarks

I had heard a lot about the sales and speedy performance of the Samsung Galaxy S 2 from various reviews and friends who had already bought the device and I was very excited when it finally came to me for review, and I was certainly not disappointed, the device was extremely lightweight and blazing fast. Now I have used the SGS2 for about a month and I would like to say that this is one of the best devices out there, powered by  a 1.2 GHz dual core processor and a quadcore GPU. This review will mainly concentrate upon performance of the device and benchmarks.

This handset was earlier known as the Samsung Galaxy Z. The Galaxy R runs on the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System and it comes with a 4.19 inch WVGA Super Clear LCD display, 1 GHz Tegra 2 processor, 5 megapixel camera and much more. This handset also features the Samsung’s “Find My Mobile” functionality, which allows you to track, ring or remotely lock the device, when the smartphone has been misplaced, lost or stolen. IDC : Mobile Phone Market Q2 2011 – Nokia, Samsung, LG top mobile phone vendors by shipments


According to report by Research Firm IDC (International Data Corporation) the Worldwide mobile phone market grew 11.3% year over year in the 2nd quarter of 2011 (2Q11) with the worldwide shipment of 328.4 million units. Last month, Verizon announced the 4G LTE version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 exclusively for its customers in the US. This tablet is finally available for purchase for just $529.99.

The phone was launched in Korea this April and later launched in other Asian and European countries Worldwide. 1 million units of Galaxy S2 were sold in Korea in the first 30 days.
