Disney India and Salman Khan launch Kick mobile game

Disney India along with Salman Khan have launched a mobile game as a promotional measure for its upcoming movie ‘Kick’. Available on Android the game includes a player that takes on the role of ‘Devil’ Salman Khan’s movie character. Angry Birds Epic arrives on Apple App Store in few countries

Last week, Rovio teased that they were introducing an Angry Birds themed RPG game and that it would be called Angry Birds Epic. Today, the game has gone live in App stores of countries like New Zealand, Australia and Canada. This is just a soft release and when the game is ready, it will be available for everybody across Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Microsoft Windows Store.

My Talking Tom now available on iOS, Android and Windows Phone

Talking Tom, the insanely popular app that kids loved, has now got its own “My Talking Tom” app that lets your pet and grow Tom the cat, hence validating the name. The previous versions only involved playing around with the cat which talks back to you in a hilarious voice but now it’s more of a pet simulation like Kinectimals where a kitten grows into your own cat, with lots of customization options to make it personal. Review – Monkey Flight by Donut Games

Monkey Flight by Donut Games is one of those super fun games from the App Store that I’ve been addicted to for the last week on my iPod Touch. The storyline is simple: you have to throw a monkey across a field of fruits, collect a certain amount to advance to the next level, all while avoiding to fall on the floor, crash against rocks or fall in mud ponds. Your progress can be improved if you bounce on elephants or clouds, and you get 2 additional banana boosts every level by tapping on the screen.

The games that will be initially released through Indiagames include Need for Speed Underground 2, Need for Speed Most Wanted, NBA LIVE 06, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 06, EA SPORTS FIFA 06, FIFA STREET 2, Madden NFL 06, SimCity and The Sims 2. Indiagames will release EA SPORTS FIFA 06 this year.

EA Buys Jamdat for $680M

In an effort to expand its mobile gaming portfolio, Electronic Arts has announced that they will be acquiring Jamdat Mobile – the top publisher of wireless video games.

In an effort to expand its mobile gaming portfolio, Electronic Arts has announced that they will be acquiring Jamdat Mobile – the top publisher of wireless video games.

Jamdat is the publisher of such popular games as Tetris, Downtown Texas Hold ‘Em, and Bejeweled. The acquisition, expected to close in EA’s fiscal fourth quarter ending March 2006, will cost Electronic Arts US$27 a share, or $680 million USD total. The deal is an 18% premium over Jamdat’s Thursday closing price of US$22.77 a share.

Jamdat is based in Los Angeles, and has 350 employees across the globe.
