It looks like Xiaomi may soon start making its own processors. According to a latest report from the Wall Street Journal, the Chinese smartphone maker is planning to move away from Qualcomm processors as its primary chip provider.

AMD has announced its full 7th Generation AMD A-Series Processor lineup which is aimed at productivity and entertainment performance. Previously codenamed “Bristol Ridge” and “Stoney Ridge,” the 7th Generation AMD FX, A-Series, and E-Series Accelerated Processing Units (APUs) show major improvements in performance compared to the previous generation, including double-digit gains in gaming, video rendering, and file compression performance.
