Windows phone is not very popular, but we all know that Nokia has taken up Windows Phone as it’s primary O.S and marketed the Lumia 800, their first Windows Phone without any boundaries. AT&T announces HTC Vivid and Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket LTE phones, coming on November 6

AT&T has announced their first LTE phone lineup with HTC Vivid and Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket that would be available from November 6. These smartphones uses both the LTE and HSPA+ 4G for a consistently fast connection in and out of LTE areas. The HTC Vivid has dual core 1.2 GHz processor 4.5-inch qHD display and the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket is powered by 1.5 GHz dual core processor and has 4.5-inch SuperAMOLED Plus display. AT&T CEO says ‘Tremendous demand’ for free iPhone 3GS

AT&T noted that it sold a gross of 4.8 million smartphones in the interim of the third quarter, 2.7 million of them being iPhone activations. Highly astounding for a phone, that was released in June, 2009. After the debut of the iPhone 4S, Apple proclaimed that the 3GS was free with an AT&T contract and that the iPhone 4 would plummet to $99 with a contract.

AT&T Galaxy S II Price And Release Date Announced

AT&T recently announced that, the much-awaited Galaxy S II smartphone will be available for its customers from October 2. You can get this device for $199.99 with a 2 year service agreement.

Samsung Galaxy S II is the company’s most popular Android smartphone. This handset was launched in South Korea during April, followed by other European and Asian countries in May. After waiting for nearly 3 months, Samsung finally announced the Galaxy S II in 3 variants for AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile customers in the US. Sprint has already released the smartphone for its subscribers, but AT&T and T-Mobile customers were left behind. Samsung Focus S and Focus Flash gets announced

US network AT&T has announced three new Windows Phone 7 Mango smartphones, the Samsung Focus S, Samsung Focus Flash and the already announced HTC Titan.

The Samsung Focus S will feature a 4.3″ Super AMOLED Plus screen, the same one that can be found on their current Android flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S II. Like the Galaxy S II, it will have a very thin body – measuring just 8.5mm, the same thickness of the Galaxy S II at its thinnest point. The Focus Flash on the other hand will have a smaller 3.7″ Super AMOLED screen. Both of these smartphones will have a 1.4 GHz processor of the single core variety.

Not much is known for either devices though we do know that the Focus S will have a 8MP rear camera and 1.3MP front facing camera. The Focus Flash will have a 5MP rear camera and front facing camera with unspecified resolution.

No pricing has been released, though they are expected to arrive on the fourth quarter of this year. It is unknown if Samsung plans to release these phones worldwide.

Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY coming to AT&T on September 18 for $49.99


Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY, the first PlayStation certified phone would be available on AT&T in US from September 18th for $49.99 under 2 year contract. This would run on AT&T’s high speed HSPA+ network and the phone is called as Xperia PLAY 4G. AT&T announced in July they would launch the phone soon.
