Anssi Vanjoki who is currently heading the Nokia Mobile Solutions unit has resigned from the company. It is important to note that he was the same took responsibility of the Fight Back by the Finnish phone maker. Did Anssi resign due to the failure of the N97 or was he upset at OPK’s removal ?

Nokia has launched it’s first S40 Touch and Type phone the X3-02 in Lebanon and it’s the first country where the phone is going on sale. Nokia also decided to giveaway 100 free X3-02 to users present at the venue and a discount on the sale price for the unlucky souls present there.

You must have have heard about the PUSH N900 Challenge which took place back in 2009 where we saw a lot of hackers doing really cool things with the N900. The Tilt ‘n’ Roll game is a brainchild of the same challenge and it’s a contribution from the Solderin’ Skaters which comprises of 6 individuals – Keywan Tonekaboni, Nick Thomas, Jan Anlouff, Sebastian Zehe, Erik Weitnauer and Alexander Lenhard.

Last match of FoneArena Smartphone Championship was between the Nokia N900 and Blackberry Storm 2, and our readers have chosen the Nokia N900 as a winner. The Nokia N900 got 488 votes, and Blackberry Storm 2 got only 143 votes, which is a quite less score. Well, N900 is now in the next round, and it will face the Palm Pre. Now lets head to the next match.

Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo who is currently the CEO of Nokia will quit from his position and exit the Nokia board on Sept 20 this year. Stephen Elop who is currently heading the Business Division of Microsoft will take up the role of President and CEO of Nokia on Sept 21.It’s kinda shocking to see that OPK is not even in the Nokia board anymore. He only has a non-executive capacity in the board of Nokia Siemens Networks. Looks like he was forced to quit to keep the shareholders happy. Folks over at Gizmodo was sent in some sexy shots of an upcoming WP7(Windows Phone 7) powered phone, which is manufactured by Samsung, and known as Samsung GT-i8700. I believe that this handset is a part of Samsung Galaxy family, and currently we only know that the phone comes with 8 GB of internal storage, and it also has a camera with LED flash, that’s all we know. BestBoyz has posted leaked image of what looks like the upcoming HTC Desire HD . As you can see in the image , it is running on something similar to Windows Mobile 6.5 and the Desire HD might be a HD2 successor if this is true.Specs we have heard earlier include a 8MP Camera , 4.3 inch Display and 8GB inbuilt memory . We really hope this device runs on Android as expected before.

Here is a cool TV ad for the N8 titled – It’s not technology, it’s what you do with it.The Ad features a Hamster, skateboards , a Nokia N8 mounted on a Remote-controlled helicopter and a Dancing Robot powered by a Nokia N82. Totally worth watching !

We had an opportunity to attend Nokia Music Connects 2010 on September 2, 2010 and to discuss Nokia OVI Music Services in India with Adam Mirabella (Global Director of OVI Music Services, Nokia). Its his 4th visit to India in a year, Adam Mirabella was pretty excited about the opportunities in Indian Market. It was not just related to Nokia Ovi Music Services but also bringing together all the Music industry giants which includes Sony Music India, EMI, BMG, RPG SAREGAMA and many others at Nokia Music Connects 2010. The opening of the ceremony was done with a beautiful song named ‘Shanti Aye’ performed by Australian Band ‘Old Man River‘ with Hamsika Iyer.
