
Fitbit has updated its personal health coach experience with more personalised features, rolling out through the latest app update and an ongoing Public Preview. The update brings changes across fitness planning, coaching interaction, daily insights, and sleep tracking.
Personalized coaching and weekly fitness plans (Premium)
The updated coaching system introduces personalised weekly fitness plans for Premium users. These include:
- Custom weekly targets based on user goals
- Tailored workout recommendations
- Feedback-based adjustments during Public Preview
- Option to modify plans, targets, and workouts, rolling out next week
Guided workouts and coach interaction
The coach now provides step-by-step guidance for recommended workouts to help users follow sessions more clearly.
The “Ask Coach” chat also adds a more natural way to interact, allowing users to check progress and get updates or recommendations through conversation.
Daily insights and Sleep Score update
The “Today” tab now includes personalised messages throughout the day, such as:
- Morning check-ins
- Post-workout summaries
- End-of-day updates
- End-of-week progress summaries
A redesigned Sleep Score has also started rolling out, offering a clearer breakdown of how the score is calculated to improve understanding of sleep data.

The updated Fitbit personal health coach experience is rolling out with the latest app update and will expand gradually over the next few weeks in Public Preview.
