Lava has released Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update for Iris X1 Grand smartphone. It was launched back in January this year and the company had promised to offer Lollipop update for the smartphone at the launch. To remind you, the Iris X1 Grand has a 5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) IPS display, is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582M processor with Mali-400 GPU, comes with 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory with expansion slot, has a 8MP rear camera with dual LED Flash,  2MP front-facing camera and a 2200mAh battery. HDFC Bank launches Chillr instant money transfer app for Android and iPhone

HDFC Bank has launched Chillr, a mobile app that allows users to instantly transfer money to any contact in their phone book 24×7 since it is linked to customer’s bank account. The bank has partnered with MobME, a Kochi-based technology firm, to launch the app. It is available for Android and iOS platform currently, but it will soon be launched for Windows Phone, said the company. Samsung Galaxy Tab A with 8-inch and 9.7-inch displays, Android 5.0, 4G LTE announced

Samsung has introduced Galaxy Tab A in Russia, after a month it was leaked. The Galaxy Tab A series comes in 8-inch and 9.7-inch displays with a resolution of 1024×768 pixels. Both these are powered by 1.2GHz quad-core (Snapdragon 410 probably) processors, runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop), come with a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Pinterest has raised $367 million in latest round of funding that will lead the company’s valuation to $11 billion. The funding was led by Andreessen Horowitz and Bessemer Venture Partnersseen, as per a regulatory filing.
