Sony Lavender specifications leaked

Yesterday, we showed you the leaked photo of a selfie centric smartphone dubbed Lavender.  We didn’t have much information about the phone apart from the processor and software. Today we have received more information regarding its specifications and as promised, we are sharing them with you.

Being a selfie centric smartphone, the front camera is very important on this device. Rightly so, it has a 13 Megapixel (Sony IMX214 sensor) front facing camera and the same 13 Megapixel unit at the back as well. The front facing camera is accompanied by an LED flash as well and is of a higher resolution than the XPERIA C4 smartphone that the design resembles.

The smartphone will be powered by a 64bit Octa-core Meditek MT6752 processor that is clocked at 1.7GHz and will have 2GB of RAM. The display size is not yet known but it will be bigger than the one on the XPERIA C4 and will have a resolution of 1080p.  A bigger display means, the phone will be quite big as the C4 itself has a 5.5″ display. But the phone does have very small bezels on the sides so that should help a bit in reducing the physical dimensions of the phone even with such a big display.

The phone will run Android Lollipop out of the box and will have Dual-SIM support on some models and will vary depending on the region. There is no shot of the back yet but Upleaks says that the camera unit is small, similar to what can be seen on the HTC E9. We think thats about right considering that Sony is using the same sensor on the front and the back.
