Videocon has launched Infinium Z45 Dazzle, Infinium Z45 Amaze and Z55 Delite affordable smartphones in India. All the three Android smartphones come with dual sim capabilities.
After launching the Note 3 smartphone in India yesterday, Coolpad has announced plans to ‘Make in India’. The Chinese smartphone maker said that it would invest around Rs 1,950 crore in India to manufacture and sell low cost handsets in the country.
This week’s highlights was Google’s new Nexus devices. The Nexus 6P from Huawei and the Nexus 5X from LG. They also announced the new Pixel C tablet.
Following reports in June this year, Videocon has kick started manufacturing mobile handsets at its Salt Lake unit in Kolkata. The company already has a mobile manufacturing plant in Aurangabad, Maharashtra.

Another homegrown company, Videocon has announced that it will start manufacturing phones in India. The company will start production of mobile handsets in Salt Lake unit in Kolkata in few months, as per a PTI report.
First up, the Chinese smartphone maker Phicomm entered India this week with the launch of Passion 660 smartphone. It comes in Black and White colors and is priced at Rs. 10,999. The Supreme Court of India has cancelled 122 2G licenses issued by the Government on after 10th Jan 2008. This cancellation affects customers of Uninor,Videocon,MTS ,Loop Telecom , Etisalat , Idea Cellular, STel and Tata Docomo in 22 circles. The court order will come into effect in 4 months and you might have to use MNP to port your number to another operator who is not affected.
