LG Display Co Ltd is looking forward to invest up to 900 billion won ($802.75 million) for OLED panels for smartphones and wearables. The South Korean company is said to venture into new production line for small- and medium-sized organic light emitting diode (OLED) displays, as per a report from DongA Ilbo publication.
Last year in December, LG had reportedly put G Pro 3 development on hold to focus on G4. Now if the new rumours are to be believed, LG has resumed the project and may launch the device by the end of 2015. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has rolled out a pre-paid card linked mobile wallet. Dubbed as Speed Pay, the wallet allows customers to transfer cash, pay for services as well as withdraw cash of up to Rs 1 lakh.
Oppo has announced Mirror 5s smartphone, after it was leaked recently. It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display, is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Color OS 2.1 ROM on top. LG has announced TONE+ HBS-500 mini, Bluetooth stereo headset for women. This is a variant of the LG TONE+ HBS-500 that has a neckband length of 2cm to 22cm, especially for women. It supports VoLTE (Voice over LTE) calls that would let users to hold conversations in High Definition (HD) sound between VoLTE-capable devices and features noise reduction using MEMS microphone. It weighs just 29 grams.
