Microsoft has announced Lumia 950 XL, the company’s latest high-end smartphone at an event in New York City. It packs a 5.7-inch (1440×2560 pixels) AMOLED display, is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor and runs on Windows 10. It packs a 20-megapixel autofocus rear camera with ZEISS optics, 5th gen Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), triple LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. There is also Lumia 950 XL Dual SIM, which is a dual SIM variant of the smartphone.
Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL smartphones were briefly listed on official Microsoft Store (Via) in the UK before it was removed. This confirms the name of upcoming high-end smartphones. The listing also confirms 5.2-inch and 5.7 Quad HD (1440×2560 pixels) displays for the phones, 20-megapixel rear camera with ZEISS optics, 32GB of internal storage with expandable memory up to 2TB with microSD and Windows 10. Microsoft is working on two Lumia phones – Lumia 950 (codenamed Talkman) and the Lumia 950 XL (codenamed Cityman) whose specs have been leaked by Windows Central. Both the devices had first surfaced in May.
