Xiaomi shares open for trade in Hong Kong below IPO price but it is confident about the future

Shares of Xiaomi opened for trade today under the stock code 1810 at IPO price of HK$ 17 per share, which was in the lower range, but it opened at HK$ 16.60 less than the IPO price, and later dropped to HK$ 16.30. The company last month expected the offer price range to be between HK$17 and HK$22 per share in an aim to raise anywhere between US$ 4.72 billion and US$ 6.1 billion with a valuation between 54.3 billion and 70.3 billion. After rumors and certification, OPPO has officially announced the A5, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in China. Xiaomi India today announced the appointment of Muralikrishnan B as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). He was India Head of eBay.in in 2011 and later he joined Jabong as COO, which Xiaomi India Head and VP, Manu Kumar Jain co-founded in 2012. Nokia 5.1 Plus / X5 could go official on July 11, Snapdragon 845 and 710-powered phones expected in Q3

Nokia TA-1109 got certified by TENAA last month, which is expected to be introduced as Nokia X5 in China and Nokia 5.1 Plus in other markets. Now a new poster of the smartphone has surfaced in China that confirms the name and design. The phone is said to be introduced on July 11th, which is next Wednesday.

Samsung’s Q2 2018 earnings guidance reveals 5.1% increase in profits

Samsung has posted its earnings guidance for the second quarter of 2018, which reveals that it will post 14.8 ( 14.7 ~ 14.9) trillion Korean won ($13.2 billion approx.) in operating profits for the quarter, just 5.18% increase from a year earlier. The main reason for this likely to be due to strong weaker-than-projected sales of its Galaxy S9 series smartphones unveiled earlier this year.
