Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e with 10.5-inch WQXGA Super AMOLED display, 5.5mm sleek metal body launched in India starting at Rs. 35999

Samsung just launched Galaxy Tab S5e (SM-T725), the company’s latest tablet in India.  It was announced back in February and packs a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED WQXGA screen, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 670 SoC and runs on Android 9.0 (Pie). It has quad-speakers tuned by AKG by HARMAN, similar to the Tab S, but it doesn’t have an S Pen or Iris scanner. Realme to launch 64MP camera phone in India soon as the CEO shares first 64MP Quad Camera sample

Samsung and Xiaomi’s Redmi are said to be working on a new smartphone with 64MP ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor. Today Realme CEO Madhav Sheth has confirmed that the company will be introducing world’s first smartphone camera with 64MP GW1 largest 1/1.72″ sensor and 1.6µm pixel. In addition, he also said that the phone will be launched in India first.

Xiaomi will not release Mi Max and Mi Note series phones this year

Xiaomi announced Redmi as a separate brand and also appointed Lu Weibing the president for the sub-brand back in January. The company recently launched the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro under the Redmi sub-brand. LG W-Series smartphone with waterdrop notch display, AI triple rear cameras launching on June 26 on Amazon India

Update: June 21 — LG has sent out invites for the launch of the phone on June 26th on Amazon.in. The company recently confirmed 2GHz Octa-Core 12nm SoC, which should be Helio P22. Google Play Developer console confirmed 6.2-inch HD+ (720 x 1500 pixels) display, Android Pie and 3GB of RAM and the name of the phone as W10. However, Amazon has confirmed that it will launch LG W30 smartphone. Apple issues global recall for older 15-inch MacBook Pro units citing faulty battery issues

Apple MacBook has had issues like sticking and non-responsive keys, backlight issues in display and the company also acknowledged the same. Today, another issue has cropped up in 15-inch MacBook Pro models and Apple is voluntarily recalling some models globally for a faulty battery that is causing overheat and poses a safety risk.

Huawei MediaPad M6 with 10.8-inch and 8.4-inch 2K displays, Kirin 980, 4G LTE announced

Huawei just announced MediaPad M6 series 10.8″ and 8.4″ along with the Nova 5 series in China. It comes in 10.8-inch and 8.4-inch versions with WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display, are powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 980 SoC and run on Android 9.0 (Pie) with EMUI 9.1 on top. These pack a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with PDAF and an 8MP front camera. These feature a metal frame, but only the 10.8-inch model has a fingerprint sensor on the home button, below the display. HUAWEI Nova 5i with 6.4-inch FHD+ display, 8GB RAM, 24MP in-screen camera, quad rear cameras announced

Along with the Nova 5 and the Nova 5 Pro, HUAWEI also introduced the Nova 5i smartphone in China. It packs a 6.4-inch Full HD+ display with 90.8% screen-to-body ratio and has 24-megapixel in-screen camera, is powered by Kirin 710, unlike the Kirin 810 on the Nova 5, has up to 8GB of RAM, runs Android Pie with EMIUI 9.1 top, features quad rear cameras that includes a 24-megapixel primary camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, 2-megapixel camera for 4cm macro and a 2-megeapixel camera for portrait shots.

HUAWEI Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro with 6.39-inch FHD+ OLED display, 8GB RAM, quad rear cameras, in-display fingerprint scanner announced

HUAWEI just announced Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro smartphones in China, as it had promised. These phones pack a 6.39-inch Full HD+ OLED curved glass dewdrop notch display, run on Android 9.0 (Pie) with EMUI 9.1, and feature Leica quad-lens cameras with 48-megapixel  sensor, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, 2-megapixel sensor for 4cm macro and a 2-megapixel for porait shots. These have a 32-megapixel camera on the front. The Nova 5 is powered by the latest Kirin 810 SoC and the Nova 5 Pro is powered by Kirin 980. Realme 2 Pro Android Pie ColorOS 6 stable update finally starts rolling out [Update: Roll out resumes with new version]

Update – June 21, 2019: Realme has started rolling out ColorOS 6 stable update for the Realme 2 Pro again after it was stopped due to bootloader issues last month. This has the build number RMX1801EX_11_A.21, includes Android security patch for May, 2019 and is 2.68GB in size. It is rolling out gradually, but you can download the update ZIP file from Realme website here and update manually.
