Vivo Y9s with 6.38-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, 48MP quad rear cameras, in-display fingerprint scanner gets certified

After the Y7s and the Y5s, upcoming Y9s smartphone has been certified by TENAA in China with model numbers V1945T and V1945A revealing complete specifications. This reveals a 6.38-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, 2GHz processor which could be MediaTek Helio P65 12nm SoC with up to 8GB of RAM, 48MP primary sensor, 8MP ultrawide sensor, 2MP depth and a  2MP macro sensor, as well as a 32MP front-facing camera. It will likely feature an in-display fingerprint scanner and packs it shows a 4500mAh battery with support for fast charging.

Samsung W20 5G foldable phone to be announced on November 19

Update: Samsung has confirmed that the new W20 5G will be introduced on November 19th in China. The teaser shows a similar design as the Galaxy Fold, but the Galaxy Fold is already on sale in China. We will have to wait for the launch to find out what Samsung has to offer.

IDC reports 0.8% YoY growth in global smartphone shipments in Q3 2019, Samsung leads

International Data Corporation (IDC) has reported a growth of 0.8% Year on Year for smartphone shipments in its Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker. Total shipments counted to 358.3 million smartphones that resulted in an 8.1% growth compared to the last quarter, marking positive growth in smartphone shipments after almost 2 years.
