OnePlus India extends warranty of its products that are expiring during the lockdown to June 30

OnePlus India today announced that it is extending the warranty for its products to 30th June 2021 for those with an expiry date between 1st April and 29th June 2021. This comes after POCO, Xiaomi, OPPO and Sony announced that they are extending the warranty of their products. This is not the first time OnePlus is extending the warranty of its products. Government of India directs WhatsApp to withdraw new TOS and privacy policy

WhatsApp’s deadline for accepting their new Terms of Service (TOS) and Privacy Policy was 5 days ago on the May 15th. Now, the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has sent a letter to the Facebook-owned company to withdraw the update within 7 days, and failure to do so will prompt lawful measures.

Samsung has introduced Galaxy S21 5G Olympic Games Edition (SC-51B) in Japan as a part of its 2021 summer line up, ahead of 2021 Olympic Games in Japan. The company had been releasing Olympic Edition phones since 2018 with Galaxy Note Olympic Edition, Galaxy Note 3 Olympic Edition in 2014, Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Edition in 2016, Galaxy Note8 2018 Winter Olympic Games Limited Edition, Galaxy S10+ Olympic Games Edition in 2019 and Galaxy S20+ 5G Olympic Games Athlete Edition last year. Samsung Galaxy F52 5G with 6.6-inch FHD+ 120Hz display, Snapdragon 750G, 64MP quad rear cameras announced

Samsung has announced Galaxy F52 5G, a cheaper version of the A52 5G powered by the same Snapdragon 750G SoC in China. This replaces the 120Hz AMOLED screen with a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD screen with the same 120Hz refresh rate, so this there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner instead of in-display fingerprint scanner. It has a 3.6mm small punch-hole that houses a 16-megapixel camera. It doesn’t have IP ratings like the A52. Sony Mobile has introduced new Xperia Ace II (SO-41B), a compact smartphone in Japan as the successor to Xperia Ace that was introduced back in 2019. It has a 5.5-inch HD+ display, compared to Full HD+ display in the predecessor, is powered by MediaTek Helio P35 processor with 4GB of RAM, runs Android 11, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture,  AI scene detection and an 8-megapixel camera on the front. Qualcomm just announced Snapdragon 778G 5G Mobile Platform, the company’s new mid-range 5G SoC at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit 2021. It is based on 6nm process technology, has Qualcomm Kryo 670 CPU with new architecture delivers up to 40% performance uplift and the Adreno 642L GPU is designed to deliver up to 40% faster graphics rendering compared to the previous generation, said the company. It has Qualcomm Spectra 570L triple ISP and 6th generation Qualcomm AI Engine with the Qualcomm Hexagon 770 processor delivering up to 12 TOPs AI performance, which is a 2x improvement compared to its predecessor.
