After months of being available on the iOS and Android app, Twitter is finally making Spaces available on the Mobile Web and Desktop Web Twitter client. The move should encourage more Twitter users to join Spaces from their desktops, with all the functionality enjoyed by the mobile app users.

Samsung today introduced the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, the company’s latest Android tablet. It packs an 8.7-inch WXGA+ TFT LCD screen, is powered by an Octa-core SoC which should be an MediaTek Helio P22T SoC paired with up to 4GB RAM, 8MP autofocus rear camera and a 2MP front camera. It runs on Android 11 with One UI and the tablet packs a 5100mAh battery with 15W fast charging. OPPO Enco Free2 with Bluetooth 5.2, Active Noise Cancellation up to 42dB, up to 30h combined battery life announced

Along with the Reno6 series OPPO also introduced the Enco Free2, the company’s latest true wireless earbuds and the successor to the OPPO Enco Free that was introduced back in December 2019. The main highlight of the successor is that it can achieve 42dB depth of active noise reduction, which is higher than the 40dB which the latest Mi FlipBuds Pro claims. The company says that it uses three-core noise reduction chip, which greatly improves the noise reduction power and achieves a more stringent noise reduction effect. Global smartphone market predicted to ship 1.38 billion units in 2021; highest ever since 2015: IDC

The global smartphone is expected to reach record shipments in 2021, with the IDC predicting shipment numbers of nearly 1.38 billion units for the year, growing 7.7% when compared to 2020. The market’s growth is predicted to continue growing in 2022 at 3.8% YoY. Driving this growth is the increasing pace of adoption of 5G capable smartphones as 5G networks begin to deploy around the world.

HMD Global introduced the new C10 and C20 smartphones last month running Android 11 Go Edition with a promise of two years of security updates. Xiaomi reports record revenue and profit, 163.8% increase in profit in Q1 2021

Xiaomi has reported its earning for the first quarter (Q1 2020) of 2021 that ended March 31, 2021. It reported revenue of 76.9 billion yuan (US$ 12.03 billion), an increase of 54.7% compared to Q1 2020.  Adjusted net profit (Non-IFRS Measure) was 6.1 billion yuan, an increase of 163.8% year-over-year. The company said that both the revenue and adjusted net profit reached record highs in the quarter. Revenue from overseas markets increased 50.6% year-over-year to 37.4 billion yuan.
