Uros GoodSpeed Mobile Hotspot with 10 SIM cards aims to say good bye to steep roaming charges

Meet the Goodspeed Mobile Hotspot which is a 3G MiFi with 10 , yes ten sim card slots. The product comes from a Finnish company Uros founded by 2 Ex-Nokia employees.The Goodspeed is a special MiFi or Wireless hotspot which automatically uses any of the 10 SIM cards depending on your current location for internet access. We just heard from Asus India that they are launching the kick ass Asus Padfone along with the Transformer Pad TF300T in India next week. The PadFone is a innovative concept from Asus , a phone which can fit inside a tablet and you can use the phone like a tablet. If you wonder will you take calls when the phone is docked inside the tablet , it comes with a interesting bluetooth headset for the same.

Apple iPhone 5 Unlocked Prices for USA Revealed

When Apple launched the iPhone 5 yesterday , only contract pricing for the device was revealed for the US market, starting from $199 for the 16GB version , $299 for the 32GB version and $399 for the 64GB version. We did tell you about the Unlocked iPhone 5 prices for UK and Singapore . But now the Apple US site is displaying some prices for the iPhone which seems like the prices for the unlocked versions. It might also be a typo as these were the prices at which the iPhone 4S was available previously.

Apple iPhone 5 Launch Countries and Rollout

Apple will be launching the iPhone on September 21 in 9 countries – Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, the US and the UK. Apple will begin taking pre-orders in these countries this Friday September 14. Interestingly UK, Singapore and Hong Kong are countries in which Apple sells iPhones at the full price and mostly unlocked. If you plan to be one of the 1st to own the iPhone 5 and live outside the US, may be you should ping your friends in these 3 countries or may be take an iVacation. Apple iPhone 5 Singapore Prices are Revealed , starts from S$948

Singapore is one of the few countries getting the iPhone 5 on launch day September 21 and Singapore is one of those markets where Apple directly sells unlocked iPhones on it’s online store to consumers. The 16GB iPhone 5 is expected to cost 948 SGD (Singapore Dollars). Apple will start taking Pre-orders on September 14.

Unlocked Apple iPhone 5 Prices for UK Revealed

While Apple has revealed only the Contract-only pricing for the Apple iPhone 5 in the US, the company is going to sell unlocked versions of the iPhone 5 at launch in the UK. Interestingly the base model starts from 529 pounds an increase of 30 pounds compared to the iPhone 4S. One point to note is that the price includes a 20% VAT or Sales Tax. If you were thinking of getting the iPhone 5 from UK , 529 GBP at current pound levels is about Rs.47000 approx in terms of the Indian Rupee. Call me crazy but I still have my 1st iPhone which I got in 2007 and guess what ? it still works. Amazon announces Kindle Fire HD 7 inch tablet for $199

Amazon today updated it’s entire Kindle line up of products including e-Readers and tablets. It has announced the Kindle Fire HD 7”. This 7 inch tablet comes with a HD display, improved Wi-Fi, improved HD audio featuring Dolby Digital Plus and offers 16 or 32 GB of storage. The device is powered by a Dual-core 1.2 GHz processor from Texas Instruments. The software powering this tablet is a heavily customized version of Android but since the device is not certified by Google , users would not have access to popular Android features and Google services such as Gmail , Google Maps etc.

Nokia Lumia 800 gets a Price Cut at UK Retailer

A Reuters report indicated earlier today that Nokia was cutting the prices of older Lumia phones and also indicated that company would cut the price of it’s 1st Windows Phone by around 15%. Now a UK retailer is selling the Black Lumia 800 for as low as 195 pounds ( 234 GBP including VAT) or Rs.17500 approximately which is the lowest price for the handset since it’s launch last year. The handset is retailing for around Rs.23000 currently in India and it is not clear if the price cut will be applicable here.

Is this the nano SIM card for the iPhone 5 ?

We told you last year that a nano SIM card which is smaller than the already tiny microSIM card is in the works. Then there were rumours floating around that the next iPhone or the iPhone 5 would be using the nano SIM card slot.What followed was Apple, Nokia , RIM and Motorola defending for their own proposals at the industry standards body known as European Telecommunication Standards Institute ETSI . Nokia Lumia 920 with PureView Press Image Leaked

This might be the Nokia Lumia 920 , the first Nokia Windows Phone to run on Windows Phone 8 and feature PureView Camera technology. When Nokia launched the PureView 808 running on Symbian earlier this year, it was not clear why Nokia would launch a Symbian phone with latest camera technology in 2012 when it’s primary focus was on Windows Phone . Looks like we should be seeing a Nokia Windows Phone with PureView Camera technology soon.The leak talks about a 4.5 inch Lumia 920 and we can see Carl Zeiss branding on the back . The lens and flash arrangement seems similar to the Nokia N9 and Lumia 900 and slightly different from the Lumia 800.The phone will mostly run on Microsoft Windows Phone 8. Is this the Nokia Lumia 820 ?

The same source which posted some photos of HTC’s upcoming tablet has now shared purported pictures of 2 upcoming Nokia Lumia smartphones. The image above points to Nokia Lumia 820 with a 4.3 inch screen. The handset seems to carry multiple colours ranging from the usual black and white to yellow, red, grey,blue and violet.

LG Electronics, LG Chem, LG Display & LG Innotek collaborate for next gen Smartphone

We already know that a new LG smartphone powered by the Qualcomm S4 Pro Quad-core chip is coming soon. LG even teased about it’s upcoming phone in a video. Earlier today LG has confirmed through a press release that LG Electronics and it’s sister companies LG Chem( Battery ) , LG Display (Display ) and LG Innotek (Touchscreen) are collaborating for the company’s next gen Smartphone. LG says that the upcoming smartphone will feature each company’s best technology.
