JBL has announced the JBL Pulse 6 portable speaker, along with the JBL Quantum 520X Wireless and Quantum 120 gaming headsets at Gamescom 2026. The new products expand JBL’s portable speaker and gaming headset lineups.
JBL Pulse 6
The JBL Pulse 6 features JBL Legendary Sound, a 360-degree choreographed lightshow, an integrated illuminated handle and new lighting effects. It uses AI Sound Boost, which analyzes music in real time to maximize acoustic performance with less distortion. An upgraded acoustic design provides more balanced sound and deeper bass.
The speaker offers 16 lighting themes, divided into 10 ambient and six party themes:
- Ambient: Universe, Firefly, Sea, Campfire, Aurora, Blossom, Cheers, Storm, Sky and Hover
- Party: Neon, Loop, Bounce, Trim, Switch and Freeze
The JBL One app lets users select party or ambient themes, activate Sunset Mode, pair mood-setting sounds and customize EQ settings. Sunset Mode gradually dims the lighting over a selected countdown period, while the Bedside Lamp feature can be activated with a quick double tap on the speaker.
For multi-speaker connectivity, Auracast supports connecting the Pulse 6 with other compatible JBL speakers, while stereo pairing is also supported. The speaker can synchronize sound and lighting with other Pulse 6 units, compatible JBL PartyBox speakers and the JBL PartyLight Stick.

JBL Quantum 520X and Quantum 120
The JBL Quantum 520X Wireless and Quantum 120 join the JBL Quantum 950X, Quantum 650X and Quantum 250 in the refreshed gaming headset lineup. The range is powered by JBL QuantumENGINE and includes wired and wireless models for console and PC gaming.
Both new headsets feature 50mm carbon dynamic drivers, JBL Quantum Spatial Sound and detachable 6mm cardioid boom microphones. The JBL Quantum 520X features a silicone headband, breathable fabric ear cushions and up to 37 hours of battery life. It supports Xbox, PlayStation and mobile devices.
The wired JBL Quantum 120 features a lightweight design and a wired connection. Both models support customization of sound, microphone and profile settings through JBL QuantumENGINE.
