KRAFTON, Inc. hosted its third consecutive KRAFTON Media Day at gamescom 2026, outlining the company’s long-term publishing strategy and unveiling five upcoming titles across distinct genres.
The presentation highlighted five major projects currently in development:
- NO LAW (Neon Giant): Presented by CEO Claës af Burén, this open-world first-person shooter RPG is set in the lawless urban environment of Port Desire. Developed using current Unreal Engine technology, the title emphasizes systemic player agency, where individual choices directly alter narrative outcomes, environmental threats, and gameplay opportunities.
- Project ZETA (NIRVANANA): CEO Namseok Kim detailed this Multi-team Tactical Arena (MTA) title, which deviates from standard MOBA mechanics by removing traditional lane structures. Instead, the game deploys four three-player squads directly into objective-focused combat from the start of each match. Global testing is planned to refine balance and gameplay systems.
- Age Twisters (Piccolo Studio): Co-founders Jordi Ministral and Alexis Corominas introduced a two-player cooperative adventure centered on the relationship between a grandfather and granddaughter across four life stages. The title incorporates generational mechanics through asymmetrical character abilities and adaptive dialogue.
- TARAE: The Unbound (Boundary): Led by CEO Inyoung Koo, this dark fantasy action RPG incorporates East Asian folklore, Buddhist reincarnation cycles, and karmic themes. The game is designed to provide an alternative aesthetic and narrative framework to conventional Western medieval fantasy settings.
- PUBG: DED.NET (PUBG STUDIOS): Creative Director Dave Curd revealed a spin-off title set in a 1996 Pacific Northwest-inspired region called Cascadia. Moving away from standard battle royale conventions, the game adapts the core survival mechanics of the franchise into a session-based roguelite structure.
All five titles will be featured at the KRAFTON booth in Hall 9 at Koelnmesse throughout gamescom 2026, running from August 26 through August 30.
Opening the event, Taeseok Jang, Head of Global Publishing and PUBG Franchise, reflected on nearly a decade of managing PUBG:BATTLEGROUNDS.
Jang noted that the operational and community lessons learned from the flagship title are now being applied across partner studios to develop original intellectual properties and expand player demographics. He said:
Creating games that are remembered for years is difficult, and it takes time. There are no shortcuts, and there is no easy path. Just as PUBG endured that journey and reached its fans, I hope the games on this stage will ultimately reach theirs and be loved as well. We will keep moving boldly forward on that journey, together with our players.
