LG Electronics today has unveiled the company’s first “human-centric” wearable robot and unlike the previous robots from LG, the new LG CLOi SuitBot doesn’t navigate airport lounges and hotel hallways by itself. Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO launched the POCO F1 running on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with a skin on top, which company is referring to as MIUI For POCO. MIUI for POCO is regular MIUI with few new additions like POCO launcher, stock Android like quick setting tiles and others. During the launch, the company mentioned that the POCO Launcher (Beta version) will be available on Play store starting August 29th but the launcher has been leaked within a few hours of launch event. Samsung has announced Exynos i S111, its latest narrowband (NB) Internet of Things (IoT) solution optimized for real-time tracking applications like safety wearables or smart meters offering extremely wide coverage, low-power operation, accurate location feedback and strong security. It includes modem, processor, memory and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) for connected devices.

Now a Russian blog has posted more live images of the phone, box contents as well as camera samples from the smartphone. Since this is pre-release hardware, EXIF mentions the phone as “QCAM-AA”. Xiaomi today reported its earning for the second quarter (Q2 2018) and first half of 2018 (H1 2018) ended June 30, 2018. It reported revenue of 45.24 billion yuan (US$6.60 billion), an increase of 68.3% year-on-year, among which international revenue grew 151.7% year-on-year to 16.4 billion yuan, accounting for 36.3 percent of total revenue. Operating (loss) was 7.5 million yuan compared to 3.6 million the same quarter last year. Adjusted profit grew 25.1% to 2.1 billion yuan year-on-year. All business
segments achieved strong revenue growth, with the fastest growth seen in our IoT and lifestyle products segment, said Xiaomi.
HMD Global at the Nokia 6.1 Plus launch in India had announced that it is rolling out new camera experiences with enhanced functionality and user experience for Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus, and Nokia 6.1 users. Xiaomi launched the second-generation Android One device – Mi A2 in India earlier this month. At the event, Xiaomi and Google promised Android version updates along with monthly security patch updates as the device was launched under the Android One program. Going by the history of first gen of Android One device Mi A1, Xiaomi has managed to provide monthly security patch updates, at the time of writing Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite have already received August security patch while Mi A1 is yet to receive it. After rumors, Qualcomm has officially confirmed that its upcoming flagship mobile platform will feature a system-on-chip (SoC) built on the 7nm process node.
