HMD Global at the Nokia 6.1 Plus launch in India had announced that it is rolling out new camera experiences with enhanced functionality and user experience for Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus, and Nokia 6.1 users. For all the anticipation around the relaunch, Nokia (HMD Global?) has been taking it slow and steady over the last year or so of their rebirth. There’ve been close to a dozen smartphone launches across categories and the company has been silently plugging away at bringing back some of their most iconic product lines. With photography and build quality being one of the key tenets, rumors were rife that the next big device will be a photography monster. HMD Global just launched new Nokia 6, Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco, the company’s latest Android One smartphones that were introduced at the MWC 2018, as expected. All these run Android Oreo, come with Face unlock and also have Pro Camera mode. The company has also promised to offer latest Android security updates every month and also update to Android P. HMD Global introduced the Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 8 Sirocco and new Nokia 6 Android One smartphones at the MWC 2018 last month. Earlier this week it launched the Nokia 1 Android Oreo (Go Edition) smartphone. Today it has sent out an invite for an event in in India on April 4th where it is expected to introduce the new Android One phones. It is not clear Nokia 8110 feature phone as well. The invite says next milestone of Nokia phones will be unveiled.
HMD Global, apart from Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 1 and Nokia 8110, also introduced a brand new variant of the Nokia 8 dubbed; Nokia 8 Sirocco and is also an Android One variant. While the core specifications remain almost same, there are few additions on board like the glass body for wireless charging support, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and more.
