DJI Osmo Mobile 2 handheld smartphone camera stabilizer launched in India for Rs. 9999

DJI, popular for its Drones and Camera Stabilizers has finally launched the Osmo Mobile 2 (OM170) handheld camera stabilizer for smartphones in India. It was introduced at the CES 2018 earlier this year, has the same light-weight design that supports portrait orientation, three-axis gimbal technology, but this comes with simpler controls with zoom slider and three times longer battery life than the predecessor for more filming.

Belkin launched Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar adapter for iPhone last year, this year it has launched 3.5mm Audio + Charge RockStar that plugs into the Lightning connector, offering a way for users to simultaneously charge their iPhone and listen to music using 3.5 mm headphone jack devices. This adapter also allows for data syncing through the Lightning connector as well as microphone and remote control on the headphone jack. It is water-resistant and comes with OLED Monochrome display that shows activity, time, date and more. It doesn’t have a heart rate sensor. Aadhaar holders can now generate their 16-digit Virtual ID (VID)

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has introduced 16-digit Virtual ID (VID), which is a random number mapped with the Aadhaar number. This can be used instead of Aadhaar number wherever eKYC compliance is needed. You can generate 16-digit VID on UIDAI website here or mobile app by entering your 12-digit Aadhaar number (UID), security code and OTP that you receive on your mobile number attached. You can generate a VID once a day, and there is no expiry period.

Times Internet confirms acquisition of MX Player for $146 million

After a lot of rumors, Times Internet has confirmed that it bought majority stakes in South Korea’s MX Player. At $146 million, this acquisition falls in line with January rumor which stated deal will be in the range of $200 Mn. Times Internet is aiming to build a digital-first video streaming platform atop MX Player.

Google invests $22 million in KaiOS that powers JioPhone and Nokia 8110 4G

US-based Kai Technologies, mobile operating system provider for feature phone like the popular JioPhone and Nokia 8110 4G, today announced that it has received $22 million Series A investment from Google. In addition to the investment, Google and KaiOS have also agreed to work together to make the Google Assistant, Google Maps, YouTube, and Google Search available to all KaiOS users.
