HUAWEI has made its FreeClip 2 open-ear earbuds available for purchase in India. The FreeClip 2 features a C-bridge made from skin-friendly liquid silicone and shape-memory alloy. The C-bridge is 25% softer, while each earbud weighs about 5.1g.
The earbuds feature a 10.8mm dual-diaphragm driver with a 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response range. HUAWEI says the driver provides 100% stronger volume and air displacement. Other audio features include:

For calls, the FreeClip 2 uses a three-microphone noise cancellation system and multi-channel DNN algorithms to reduce background noise. The earbuds also support self-adaptive left and right audio channels, allowing either earbud to be worn on either ear.
The earbuds support touch and head motion controls:
- Double-tap: Play/pause audio or answer/end a call
- Triple-tap: Skip to the next track
- Swipe: Increase or decrease the volume
- Head motion: Nod or shake to answer or reject calls
The controls can be customised through the HUAWEI Audio Connect app. The earbuds support Bluetooth 6.0, dual-device connectivity, and Pop-Up Pair on HUAWEI devices running EMUI 10.0 or later. They are compatible with iOS, Android, and Windows devices.
Each earbud has a 60mAh battery, while the charging case has a 537mAh battery. Battery life is rated at:
- Music playback: Up to 9 hours per charge and 38 hours with the case
- Voice calls: Up to 6 hours per charge and 25 hours with the case
- 10-minute charge: Up to 3 hours of playback
The case supports USB Type-C charging at 5V/1.5A and wireless charging at up to 3W. It takes about 50 minutes to charge the case alone and about 60 minutes to charge the earbuds and case together. The earbuds have an IP57 rating for dust and water resistance, while the case has an IP54 rating.
