The Nokia X7-00 has been making noise for quite some time now and there was some talk about the handset being shelved after it did not launch on AT&T USA. Ever since the advent of the iPhone in 2007, the mobile landscape changed drastically, with buttons and keys no longer exciting, and mobiles moving more and more towards minimalist designs with as little physical buttons as possible. The form factor that has suffered from this shift, is the communicator-like style: with a big screen and a full QWERTY keyboard, these devices that were always considered the epitome of mobility, are now looked at as bulky, heavy and more fragile offers.

Samsung has confirmed that the WiFi-only version of the 7 inch Galaxy Tab will be available at its retail and online stores from April 10th onwards in US. The Galaxy Tab runs on Android 2.2 Froyo OS, which is powered by a 1 Ghz processor and features a 7-inch TFT 1024 x 600 pixel resolution display, 3-megapixel rear camera, a secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat, 32GB of internal storage, Adobe Flash Player 10.1 support, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS. The tablet comes with a price tag of $349.99.

Samsung has officially announced that the Galaxy S will get the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS update in this month. According to the Finnish Samsung website, the update is said to be in its final stages of testing and is expected to come in mid-April.
