We have been hearing about Tizen’s development from about a year now. We had also heard rumors about Samsung releasing Tizen-based devices this year, now they has finally confirmed that they will be launching multiple Tizen-based devices this year.
SamMobile reports that Samsung will not be launching any new Bada phones in the second half of 2012. The popular manufacturer intends to focus more on Windows Phone 8 alongside its staple Android devices. Bada Phones were last shown by the Korean manufacturer at IFA 2011 in Berlin.
Tae-Jin Kang of Samsung has just revealed at CES about Samsung’s plans to merge their own Bada OS into the Tizen project.

Samsung’s twitter account has let out the news that Bada 2.0 will be rolled out to all Samsung Wave devices including the low end Wave 525 , 523 models. The new version of Bada will be available starting Quarter 4 in Europe.

Samsung Electronics has announced operator based billing for its mobile and TV application store Samsung Apps. With this the users can buy apps from easily in just 2 clicks and the price will be charged in the phone bill or deducted from the prepaid SIM card.
It’s been nearly a year since Samsung launched their Bada OS for mobile phones starting with the Samsung S8500 Wave smartphone. Samsung have now announced their plans to launch the new 2.0 version of the Bada OS in July this year.
Samsung just announced that it’s Mobile and TV application store Samsung Apps has crossed 100 Million downloads since it’s launch in June 2010. The app store now boasts of 13,000 apps and is available in 120 countries.France, Germany and Spain accounted for 40% of all downloads from the app store.
Samsung has officially launched the WAVE II in India. The surprising part is that many retailers have been selling this handset right from December.Samsung has been doing pretty decent with their bada powered smartphones.
