Design and build

The Xiaomi Power Bank 5i has a polycarbonate body with a matte finish that offers a good feel for holding and is not prone to smudges easily. The blue color gets dirty and stained easily, so you will have to choose the black color if you don’t want to clean it frequently.
The power bank measures 140 × 72 × 31.2 mm, which is decent for a 20000mAh power bank and weighs 415 grams. Overall the build quality is solid.
The power bank has three built-in 6,700 mAh cells, offering a rated capacity of 12,000 mAh (5V/3.6A), totaling less than 100 Wh, so it complies with international flight regulations.
With 12-layer circuit protection, it has comprehensive safety safeguards covering temperature resistance, short circuits, output overvoltage, overcharging, and over-discharging protection.

Instead of notification LEDs, the power bank has a tiny LED display on the side that shows the current battery level and charging status in real-time when you press the button next to it.

When charging the power bank, you can see the charging indicator. However, it doesn’t show the power at which the device connected is being charged. On the left it has a low mode current indicator and a malfunction indicator that will light up when needed and are useful.

The built-in high-flexibility TPU cable is designed for single-handed use, which conveniently doubles as a carrying lanyard.

There is a built-in type-C cable with 67W output / input (5 V=3 A, 9 V=3 A, 11 V=6.1 A). There is a type-C port with 67W output / input (5 V=3 A, 9 V=3 A, 11 V=6.1 A). There is also a 22.5W USB Type-A (5 V=3 A, 9 V=3 A, 11 V=6.1 A,
12 V=3 A, 15 V=3 A, 20 V=3.35 A) port.
Performance

The 20000mAh power bank can charge even the flagships smartphones like Xiaomi 17 Ultra, iPhone 17 Pro and Galaxy S26 Ultra since it has PD3.0 (PPS)
BC1.2 & Apple 2.4A charging protocols. It also automatically recognizes the device you plug and offers an ample amount of power required.

Charging the POCO X8 Pro showed 67W MAX, and we were able to charge the phone with 6500mAh about 3 times before the power bank went dry. I was able to charge the Pixel 10 simultaneously, but the power is shared.
Thanks to Dual NTC sensors that continuously monitor heat output to maintain steady, the power bank didn’t get heated even during full 67W output operations. With built-in low current mode, you can safely recharge delicate devices like smartwatches, fitness bands, and Bluetooth earbuds.

Even though the phone showed 67W, it only went up to 49W. With PPS charging, you can also charge compatible laptops. It takes about 2 and a half hours for a full charge using a 65W PD fast charger, which is the maximum input capacity of the power bank.
Conclusion
The Xiaomi Power Bank 5i 20000 67W stands out as a versatile, heavy-duty portable charger that checks nearly every box for modern power users. The combination of a generous 20,000 mAh flight-safe capacity, versatile 67W PD/PPS fast charging capable of topping up laptops, and the integrated USB-C cable makes it an exceptionally convenient daily and travel companion.
If you own a Xiaomi or POCO phone or need a single reliable power bank to juice up your phone, tablet, accessories, and even lightweight USB-C laptops on the go, the Xiaomi Power Bank 5i is easy to recommend.
At Rs. 3,499, it offers tremendous value, solid safety features, and top-tier everyday convenience. You can get it from mi.com, Amazon.in, and official retail channels.
