Sony to roll out Android 4.0 update for remaining 2011 Xperia devices starting next week, No ICS for Xperia Play


Sony Mobile has announced that they would start rolling out Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update for remaining 2011 smartphones; Xperia arc, Xperia neo, Xperia mini, Xperia mini pro, Xperia pro, Xperia active and Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman starting next week. They started rolling out the update for 2011 Xperia devices in last month after it was delayed. The update started rolling out in India at the end of April for Xperia arc S, Xperia neo V and Xperia ray. Sony starts rolling out Android 4.0 ICS update for Xperia arc S, Xperia neo V and Xperia ray in India

Sony Mobile India has announced on their Facebook page that they have started rolling out the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update for Xperia arc S, Xperia neo V and Xperia ray for consumers in India. Sony starts rolling out Android 4.0 ICS update for 2011 Xperia smartphones


Sony Mobile has started rolling out the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update for the 2011 Xperia phones (Xperia arc S, Xperia neo V and Xperia ray) for consumers in Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Finland and Norway. Sony delays Android 4.0 ICS update for Xperia smartphones, to roll out starting mid-April


Sony announced that they would roll out Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update for 2011 Xperia devices starting March end , but the update is now delayed and is being pushed to mid-April. The first phones to get the update would be Xperia arc S, Xperia neo V and Xperia ray as they announced previously, that would be available in mid-April and continue over 4 to 6 weeks to reach globally. Sony releases Android 4.0 beta ROM for select Xperia smartphones

Sony has released Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) beta ROM for select Xperia smartphones. They launched they alpha ROM as a preview last December, but this beta version brings a lot of improvements including functioning FM radio and GSM Radios. This has UI elements from ICS including some new UI features present in the Xperia S that was announced at the CES last month. Sony Ericsson to roll out Ice Cream Sandwich update for 2011 Xperia devices starting March 2012


Sony Ericsson has officially announced that the 2011 Xperia devices would receive the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update starting March 2012. They already announced the list of 2011 Xperia devices that would receive the update. They also shared different phases and activities of Sony Ericsson’s Android development earlier this month.
