Sony Corporation has announced new IMX230 1/2.4″ 21MP Exmor RS stacked CMOS camera sensor for smartphones. Sony unleashes AOSP source code for Xperia Z3, Z2 and Z1
Sony has posted source code and binaries for the Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z1 Compact. The company is yet to release the Android Lollipop Update for these devices, however it has already confirmed that it will release it soon.

Last week Sony released the PS4 Remote Play app on Google Play to support PS4 Remote Play capabilities on the Xperia Z3 series. Sony reports Q2 FY14 results, 9.9 million smartphones shipped
Sony Corporation today reported net loss of 85.6 billion yen ($785 million) for its second quarter of the financial year 2014 that ended September 30th. Even though it shipped 9.9 million smartphone in the quarter, mobile communications division has reported an operating loss of 172 billion yen ($1.6 billion) for the quarter.

Sony SmartWatch 3 up for pre-order in the US for $249.99, shipping October-end
Sony introduced the SmartWatch 3, the company’s first Android Wear-powered smartwatch at the IFA last month. At the announcement Sony just said that it would go on sale later in Autumn 2014 without any price tag. Now the company started taking pre-orders for the smartwatch at Verizon Wireless in the U.S, which would ship by October 30th. It is priced at $249.99 ( Rs. 15,299 approx.).
