Sony on its developer page has already released the preview images of the next version of Android – codenamed Android M – for the list of Xperia devices under its Open Device program.

While the Android M developer preview images are available to download from Sony’s developer portal, the company has warned that the “AOSP software is not certified or intended for regular use”, and “the modem and the camera are not implemented” in this image, so these can be installed later, once you have flashed the Android M.

The list of Xperia devices as part of Sony’s Open Device program for the Android M developer preview images include:

  • Xperia Z Ultra
  • Xperia Z1
  • Xperia Z1 Compact
  • Xperia Z2
  • Xperia Z2 Tablet
  • Xperia Z3
  • Xperia Z3 Compact
  • Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact
  • Xperia M2
  • Xperia T2 Ultra
  • Xperia T3
  • Xperia E3

To remind you, Google recently previewed the Android M at its I/O keynote conference and released M Developer Preview for Nexus 5, 6, 9, and Nexus Player (for TV), as well as emulator. The second preview will be available in late June or early July, and the third preview will be available in late July. The final release will be available later in Q3.
