Sony has apparently shipped four new smartphone prototypes into India for the purpose of testing and debugging. The shipment was brought into India last Friday from China into Bangalore.

Zauba shows that four different units were imported into Bangalore, each at a value of Rs 39,239. The pricing does indicate that it will be a flagship device and with the taxes and duties, the value is bound to exceed Rs 40,000. These could very well be prototypes of the Sony XPERIA Z3+ which is scheduled for a launch in India later this week.

Although there are 4 different prototypes listed under different codenames such as SEAHAWK REX SEAHAWK GINA, EAGLE REX and EAGLE RILADS, it is likely that these names refer to the same device but with minor changes to the network bands for example. The event is scheduled to take place on 26th June, Friday in Delhi and we should know for sure what device or devices are being launched then.
