Micromax A116 Canvas HD with 5-inch HD display, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.1 announced

Micromax has announced the A116 Canvas HD, their new Flagship device. It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 2MP front-facing camera. It also comes with Hookup Instant messaging app. Micromax launched the A110 Superfone Canvas 2 and the A90S Superfone Pixel powered by dual-core processor last year. HTC M7 with Sense 5.0 new images surface

New images of the HTC M7 has surfaced online. Unlike the previous render that surfaced last week, this is the image of the real hardware. These images might not be the final one since there is no FCC ID. There are also new renders of the phone that are created based on the phone’s design. Sony XPERIA Tablet Z announced for Japan

The XPERIA Tablet Z which was rumoured to launch at CES 2013 has finally got officially announced for the Japanese market today. This sexy looking Android tablet is barely 6.9mm thick and weighs around 495 grams. It is also dustproof and waterproof to a certain extent. The display is 10.1 inches in size and features the Mobile Bravia Engine found on most Sony mobile products these days. The resolution on the display is an impressive 1920×1200 pixels.The design looks very similar to the XPERIA Z and ZL smartphones we saw at CES 2013. HTC India teases Butterfly launch on Facebook

HTC India has started teasing the upcoming launch of their flagship Butterfly Android smartphone launch on Facebook. The company posted images of the phone with a caption Guess what’s flying into town soon?. The Android smartphone was originally launched on Japan’s KDDI network back in October, released as Droid DNA in the U.S. and it was announced for global markets in December. Nokia 206 Dual SIM phone now available in India for Rs. 3599

Nokia 206 that was announced back in November last year along with the Asha 205 is now available in India from online retailer Flipkart. The Asha 205 was launched in India last month. It has a 2.4-inch (240 x 320 pixels) 65k color display and runs on Nokia’s Series 40 OS. It has Easy Swap Dual SIM support that lets you switch between SIM cards without turning off your phone. The SLAM feature in the phone enables multimedia content sharing between phones equipped with Bluetooth, regardless of the OS (iOS and Windows Phone not supported currently). LG Optimus G Pro with 5″ 1080p display and 3000 mAh battery spotted in leaked slide

Thanks to a leaked slide, we get a glimpse of what is to be LG’s next flagship device. Byond B63 with 4.5-inch qHD screen, Android 4.1 launched for Rs. 9,999

Indian smartphone manufacturer, Byond, has today launched its latest Android powered smartphone. Called the Byond B63, the phone is powered by a 1.2Ghz dual core processor which we can assume to be a MediaTek chip like in other smartphones in this category. The phone runs Android 4.1.1 Jellybean, which means you get to enjoy Google Now and the benefits of Project Butter. There’s built in Dual SIM support as well which lets you keep two SIM cards in active standby.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 (GT-N5100) specs surface, might be announced at MWC

Samsung GT-N5100 that was spotted in GLBenchmark website last month has got a name. According to SamMobile, Samsung is planning to unveil the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 (GT-N5100) at MWC 2013 next month. It would have a 8.0-inch (1280 × 800 pixels) TFT Super Clear LCD display and run on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It would come with a 5MP rear camera and a 1.3MP front-facing camera.

Huawei Ascend G600 now available in India for Rs. 14990


Huawei Ascend G600 is now available in India from online retailer Snapdeal. The Ascend G600 was announced in August last year, and packs a  4.5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) IPS capactive touch screen display with 178 degree viewing angle, 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 8MP auto focus camera with BSI sensor for better low-light imaging, Dual LED Flash and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera. It also has Dual DTS SRS Speakers for better audio output. Micromax A30 Smarty 3.0, new phone in the Smarty range is now available from online retailer Saholic. The company launched the A25 Smarty budget Android phone last year, but this one includes 3G support that was absent in the A25 and the recently launched A68 Smarty.
