Nokia Asha 205 and 206 Dual SIM phones announced



Nokia has announced 2 new Dual SIM phones, Asha 205 and 206 in India. These phones come with a 2.4-inch (240 x 320 pixels) 65k color display, but the Asha 205 has A QWERTY keyboard with Island keyboard that increases readability, tactility and typing. Both these phones have Slam feature to share multimedia content like photos, music and videos with nearby friends instantly. It works on Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones without the need to pair devices, and without the recipient needing to also have Slam (iOS and Windows Phone not supported currently).

The Nokia Asha 205 come with a VGA camera and 1020 mAh battery, while the 206 comes with a 1.3MP camera and 1100 mAh battery. Other features include, GPRS/EDGE, 2.0 mm Charger Connector, Bluetooth v2.1 with EDR, 3.5 mm audio jack and expandable memory up to 32GB with microSD. The 206 has Loud and clear inbuilt speaker that offers audio output up to 103 phons and has dedicated Facebook key. It is 12.4mm thick and weighs 91 grams, while the Asha 205 is 13mm thick and weighs 94 grams.

These devices also come with Nokia Xpress Browser, Nokia Nearby, eBuddy instant messaging app, EA gift pack of games from Nokia Store and have Dual SIM Easy Swap technology with dedicated SIM manager that lets you switch SIM cards without switching off the device.

The Nokia Asha 205 is available in Cyan, Magenta and Orange, while the 206 comes in Cyan , Magenta, Yellow, Black and White. Both these devices also come in single SIM versions. These are priced at US$62 (~Rs. 3600) excluding taxes and would be available in Q4 2012.
