HTC set to release updated One M9+ and China only Butterfly 3 on September 29th

HTC had previously teased the announcement of two devices later this month on 29th. Many believed that they would be launching the HTC A9 Hero on that date and that the device would have two versions. However, a new leak confirms that HTC will be announcing an updated One M9+ and a Butterfly 3 at the event.

HTC just introduced the successor to the Butterfly at an event in Taiwan. Called the Butterfly S, the handset looks very similar to the model it replaces. However, the phone has now been equipped with the same front facing BoomSound speakers as seen on the HTC One. The operating system too gets the HTC’s spanking new Sense 5 UI layer that we quite liked when we reviewed the One.

HTC Butterfly Review

The HTC Butterfly is the Taiwanese company’s first 5” smartphone. It stands on the border in between smartphone and phablet territory. However HTC markets this as a smartphone rather than a phablet.

When it’s classified as a phablet, it becomes a niche product with a smaller customer base. It is also one of the first smartphones to hit the market packing a full HD screen. HTC Butterfly Unboxing

The long awaited successor to the HTC One X was finally launched in India earlier this month. Called the HTC Butterfly, the phone brings a gorgeous 5inch full HD display and top of the line specs. The phone runs on Qualcomm’s S4 Pro quad core processor and is paired with 2GB of RAM. There’s 16GB of storage built in and you also get access to a microSD card slot. The HTC Butterfly has been in the news every week, and people can’t just get enough of this monstrous 5″, 1080p device. Peter Chou, CEO of HTC was caught saying that according to initial feedback, the device has become really popular in japan due to which they will be boosting their shipment.

The international variant of the Droid DNA and HTC Butterfly J have been announced today for the global audience. The phone which will be called the HTC Butterfly is one of the first devices with a ful HD display. The 5″ screen with 1080p resolution results in a mind blowing pixel density of  440ppi.

HTC J Butterfly launched with 5 inch 1080p display on Japan’s KDDI network

The long rumored HTC phablet was today launched at an event in Japan in the form of the HTC J Butterfly. Launched in partnership with Japan’s KDDI network, the Android Jellybean based smartphone packs in a 5 inch Super LCD 3 screen with Full HD resolution.
