Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 Hands On

In a bid to hit each and every size possible out there, Samsung today announced the Galaxy Note 8.0 which fills one of the last remaining size based gaps in their line up. Predictably, the device is a blown up Galaxy Note with a 8 inch display.

MWC 2013 : What to expect?

We’ve been getting settled here in Barcelona and preparing to bring you minute by minute coverage from the greatest telecom expo in the world. With the Fira having moved from Fira Montjuic to Fira Gran Vie, we are now going to witness 240,000 square metres of space divided into 8 pavilions ALL booked by the GSMA.

The latest and greatest coverage from the show floor will be brought to you by Varun, Dhruv, Sandeep, Bharad and Michael from Team FoneArena. Our computers of choice ? Retina Macbook Pros and a Samsung Series 9 laptop. Top of the line Android phones and iPhone 5’s are part of the smartphone arsenal. Divided equally between the Canon and Nikon camp, we also have Nokia PureView 808’s to fall back on! Samsung officially unveils the Galaxy Note 8.0

Having repeatedly seen the images and the specs of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 earlier, it was inevitable that the company was going to release the device soon. It was supposedly set for a MWC 2013 reveal, but looks like they have jumped the gun and revealed the Galaxy Note 8.0 in detailed photos, in the company’s facebook page.

Samsung REX 90 Unboxing


Samsung recently announced its latest line of Java based feature phones under the REX branding. We’ve got our hands on the top end model called the REX 90 and here’s a quick unboxing while we work on readying a review of the handset. The Samsung REX 70 was announced today by the Korean manufacturer at an event in Delhi. The device is a part of its new range of entry level JAVA based phones. With CES just over and MWC just a few weeks away, the no. of rumors coming out has no limits, another rumor from Samsung’s camp states that the Galaxy Note III gets a 6.3″ display which is practically a tablet and sports the recently announced Exynos 5 Octa SoC.

Leak reports Gtalk and Twitter to be integrated with BB10 O.S

Exynos 5 Octa by Samsung reportedly features PowerVR SGX 544MP3

Samsung announced this CES the Exynos 5 Octa which has 4 ARM Cortex A15 cores and 4 ARM Cortex A7 cores for power management with whats called as Big little configuration. Now Samsung is known to boast their GPUs, but during their Octa announcement, they did not talk about the GPU they were using and Anandtech is now reporting that Samsung is using the PowerVR SGX 544MP3 GPU at 533 MHz.

Android 4.1.2 update rolling out for Galaxy Camera

Delivering on their promise of providing Android 4.1.2 for the Galaxy Camera, Samsung has today flipped the switch for the update and are pushing it to devices around the world. Our own unit just received the update over the air. Users shouldn’t expect too much in terms of new features from the update which mostly contains bug fixes.
