The year 2013 has been great for the smartphone market, especially the Indian smartphone market. The year 2013 saw the rise of numerous Indian manufactures thanks to “open-source” Android operating system. Towards the end of 2012, only Karbonn and Micromax had established their grip in the mid-range smartphone segment with value for money smartphones. The year 2013 helped the Indian manufacturers expand their market share by offering Full HD display smartphones with Quad-core processors for affordable price points.

Micromax Canvas 4 vs Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos

Samsung and Micromax have had a lot of success in the Indian smartphone market. Today we have Micromax’s latest flagship device – Canvas 4 and Samsung’s very famous smartphone in India – Galaxy Grand (GT-I9082). The Canvas 4 was launched in early July while Galaxy Grand was released way back in January earlier this year. Xolo Play T1000 Vs Samsung Galaxy Grand

Xolo is trying to target the mid-range smartphone market and their latest attempt is the gaming powerhouse – Xolo Play T1000 packing a NVidia Tegra 3 SoC. Samsung launched the Galaxy Grand (GT-I9082) way back in January and it has been a huge hit for the company.

Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro with a quad core processor now available for a price of Rs. 16,900

Having launched the Galaxy Win elsewhere, Samsung, in its own tradition, has renamed the same device to Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro for the Indian market and is now available from the Samsung India eStore for Rs. 16,900/-. Sporting a 4.7 inch display with WVGA resolution and sporting near-similar specs to the Grand Duos, this dual SIM Android 4.1 Jellybean phone is squarely aimed at competing with the various budget Android manufacturers in India who offer bigger screens for cheaper prices. Currently retailing at Rs. 16,900/- this phone will be available in two colours, black mist and frost white.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Grand (GT-I9082) in India today at Rs. 21,500 (MRP). At the launch event, Samsung announced that the Grand would come with Premium Flip Cover in the box and 2GB free data per month for Vodafone customers, valid for 2 months from the date of activation as an introductory offer. Consumers who purchase the phone can also download Music and Stream Movies through ‘My Series’ which has range of  services including myMovies, myMusic , myMobileTV , myStation, myReader and myEducation. Samsung Galaxy Grand with 5 inch display, Dual SIM and Android 4.1 JellyBean launched at Rs.21500

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Grand in India at a launch event in Delhi. The Galaxy Grand packs a really big 5 inch display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Dual Core Processor. If you notice in the above photo , you can find the Duos branding on the top right of the phone which is found on Samsung’s Dual SIM devices. The Galaxy Grand does offer Dual SIM functionality and Samsung is calling it Smart Dual SIM. The Galaxy Grand has been priced at Rs.21500 MRP

Samsung has announced Galaxy Grand, a new Android phone in the Galaxy series. It has a 5-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. It runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8MP auto focus camera with LED flash, BSI sensor for better low-light imaging, zero shutter-lag and ultra-quick camera start-up. It also has a 2MP HD front-facing camera. It would come in dual SIM (GT-I9082) and single SIM (GT-I9080) variants. It also Samsung’s unique features such as Multi Window (Multiscreen), S Voice, Smart Stay, Direct Call, Smart Alert and AllShare Play.
